quit your complaining all of you

esp tiesto14.

Posted by DJ-CMH on Sep-01-2003 15:05:

I must say that I feel with tiesto14. I awaited the Tiesto-set 2 weeks now and then you hear such an old set from July.

Summer has passed and I looked forward to some real fresh stuff...that's a pitty GDJB! Markus played well as usual, but I'm happy having NOT listened to it live (Monday mornings starting from 5 am :-) )

calm the fuck down Brooks

Its not Markus's fault that Tiesto's set was a re-broadcast. Just like Galaxy got that set from Tiesto and broadcasted it was the same way that Markus did. Not everyone goes and downloads livesets, im sure last night was alots first time hearing it.

Blame it on Tiesto's label.

or could tiesto just be too busy to do more mixes for promos and radio?

Sorry for talking about this is TL room....it's just that GDJB have "really" gone way too far with the rebroadcasts...i mean we are talking over 10 rebroadcasts in 2003...half of them the same set just broken into sections....seems like they just want to plaster the fact that THEY have Tiesto play for them, no matter what.....This is why people always say American radio turns music to sh*t...because stations like this that play the same thing nonstop.....oh well nothing i can do about it....bleh the whole scene is all about money nowadays anyway....music in 2003? whats that?

Gah enough with the Solarcoaster accapella already.

Oh and since you are so ultra-picky about your t/ls TigerClaw, you should make some fairly obvious corrections.

Duncan Sheik
Depeche Mode - Only When I Lose Myself

And Armin listed Markus' take on Connected as a 'rework' on his ASOT official tracklisting.

Not all of them were rebroadcasts of ASOT, Two of the AVB sets were from Club Maze and Opium Garden.

We schedule out broadcasts weeks, sometimes months in advance. When we get a comitment from an artist to do a set for us, we schedule them for a specific date. What has happened in the past is that we get the set from a DJ in advance, and the sets then get played on other internet stations before our scheduled broadcast. The Tiesto set from from this week was supposed to be aired the week of our GDJB winner broadcast (Before anybody else heard it). But it did not arrive until the tuesday after the show aired. We had no choice but to run Tiesto's July 4th set on that date since we advertised it heavily. Blame Fed Ex I suppose. We work closely with the DJ's labels to help promote these artists. Netwerk did ask us to run the set anyways and apoligized for the situation. And since there are about 100,000+ people listening to the show each week, the few that have heard these sets before will just have to get over themselves and deal with it.

In the future if this happens, we suggest reading a magazine for an hour until the set is over, and rejoin the broadcast after instead of bitching on multiple threads about the same thing.

(But then again we could just feature guest DJ's only once a month instead of 2 guests per week, then we would never have this problem)

small addition, I believe this was Annie Lennox - Pavement Cracks (The Scumfrog Vocal Mix). From what I have seen there is also a club, and dub mix by Scumfrog (love his style btw ).
