anyone who has those tunes can mix that very well, its not that hard. tracklist does look like an hour of asot, some good songs, although, he should do a double cd, and if not that, put probably 15-16 songs instead, wahtever, i probably wont buy it, doesnt really appeal to me as something special, like BOE or 001 and 002

Or Tiesto's Summerbreeze, which has Dido in its proper place (at the beginning).

pretty weak traklist tbh. sooner listen to his EM.
Armin should release a live set in the style of Magik. obviously he'd get bashed for copying Verwest but the crowd noises and atmosphere of the live sets stand real live cd's head and shoulders above the rest.

Ouch! I was expecting something else!

Posted by starglider on Sep-06-2003 19:19:

I have to ask, what were people expecting? A CD with a dozen tracks nobody had ever heard before? Would that make it any better? There would be giant hype upon release of the tracklisting, it would be proclaimed the greatest compilation ever before anyone had even heard it, and then, in a year, people would have likely forgotten about it. Music is not better because it is new, and newness is relative. A year later, the tracks are old whether or not they were a year ago, so it doesn't matter; rather, their inherent quality matters.

how do you mean copying, kind of like how they had street parade live mixes out on cd? in 98 and 99 (the cds that i have). then tiesto wouldve gotten bashed for copying that shit. streetparade 99 was the best live cd, crowd noise the time on the cd, almost like you are there =), you could hear sometimes the other streetparade mobiles too, ahha, great cd =)

The track list looks ok, but it's a bit weak for a CD. I think he's been DJing too well to improve now.

not that he has been djing too well, he gets too many of the new tracks and plays them on the radio for everyone to hear, so it is like another epside of a few week old tracks that are already old to people who listen to the show
