A prog CD might be nice, but this looks to be a hell of a trance mix with that tracklist, so people should stop complaining.

Can't agree more!

Bad CD.
Tracks that had been heard over and over.
Except if someone had been living under a rock for the last months may find this new and exciting.

Posted by arj1o1 on Sep-12-2003 05:58:

relase date is now 29th of september

You said that very well. My thoughts exactly.

i am not a vocal trance fan, but the Motorcycle's track remixed by Armin is stunning!

Posted by trancedfarmer on Sep-12-2003 15:15:

i feel like this is going to be pointless. None of those songs are worthy of the title. I wish he would wait till better shit comes out. This should be a follow-up to Boundaries of Imagination and i dont think it will come anywhere close to the beauty that that mix holds.

you miss the point

this tracklist is for ppl that listen to ASOT

it doesn't seem that great. neither is bad, is just average. disappointed not to see any sort of prog there. armin's choice of prog is great, that's what makes him so good.

but lets wait for the cd, see how the tunes fit, how is the mixing etc etc etc to have real opinions :\

exactly, not everyone who likes trance listens to ASOT, or even knows what it is, so don't post stupid crap like "oh i heard this track already this cd is lame"

still lookin forward to this even tho it is pretty much best of a state of trance, was hopin for somethin new like the majority of the other ppl

if u've never heard ASOT then this would be real good mix album

Posted by P00F on Sep-14-2003 08:13:

With his ASOT sets he doesn't necessarily have enough resources to create the exact mood/atmosphere that he wants to because he is playing the newest promos he's getting.

Given the chance to dig back into what he played in the last few months creating a compilation with the exact progression that he wanted is possible.

The "mix" is not just about the tracklist. I think some of you have lost that point because you're chewing up the CD already just because of the tracks. It's the creativity in transitions and the mood that the set evokes. That's what's important.

Very well said. I couldn't agree more. Everyone who is bashing this compilation already are totally spoiled rotten. I listen to ASOT just about every week, and I'm very excited about this cd. I don't care that some of the songs have been around a while, its not like they are that old in the first place. Just as other people said, most Armin fans don't listen to the show every week, so to the masses, this cd is appealing.

pfff... I will definitely buy this one! Since I dont buy vinyl it's great to have all those ASOT on CD. This tracklist is HUGE! I thinks this compilation doesn't have one bad track at all. Especially track 8, will be 1 or 2 in TOTY year list.

Posted by P00F on Sep-20-2003 18:33:

Dunno

After hearing it I must say that I still like his AVB 00x compilations better though...

Posted by EverZ on Sep-20-2003 19:10:

I just downloaded the whole cd and can say it is nice, as soon as i can i'll order it.

6 Of my favorites are on it:
Scarab - Vagabond
Midway - Amazon
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes (AvB's Universal Religion Remix)
Electrique Boutique feat. Taz - Heal (12" Instrumental Mix)
Laura Turner - Souldeep (Signum Dub)
M.I.K.E. - Turn Out The Lights

Already heard them at asot off course, but it's always good to have them on an original cd and without talking in it.

I noticed that the songs on 004 - Transparance were also played on his ASOT Episodes before.

That's funny! Been listening to this CD for 2 days now and I'm slowly getting attached. Very epic in it's sound and uplifting at the same time. Defineatly another long car ride cranker.

True, but the problem is that it just stops. Transparance CD2 builds on the mood created by CD1. There isn't really anything that stands out here.

awesome journey into melodic chillout trance (well that's what i'd call it anyway)
armin's getting better n better, this one's a keeper
