your posting does'nt look like dicussion or review. It looks like "I got this MP3 release today. How about you guys?" its not discussion.
More like advertising new MP3 release for me.
you don't need to do that. cuz we can find new release info at http://www.*p3news.cc

True...

F*ck show-offs.

release party in NYC

Does anybody know if or when PVD is having a Reflections release party in NYC?

Posted by arturob on Sep-09-2003 01:38:

unfortunately im very saddened to announce that reflections did not meet my expectations. Paul experimented a bit *too* much. the best tracks of the album are Crush, Reflections, Home and That's Life (new productions.)

there are a few songs missing where are them? i really hope there will be a 2nd CD. paul can't do this. 3 years of wait and he comes out with this? i dont get it.

all the best,

art

Thumbs up

The more and more I listen to this album the more I love it. I think it's great when an artist takes risks and experiments with different sounds, genres, and collaborates. Oakey and Sasha were both bashed for not making banging albums and I'm sure this album will get the same reviews. The album is very vocal and pop-ish but it never gets cheese imo. I am really digging 'Spellbound', 'Reflections', 'That's Life', and of course the original version of 'Nothing But You.' I know how great Paul van Dyk is live so this cd could stink and I would still support him. Thankfully theres enough great tracks to keep me happy.

This album is already hyped enough Arturo. Many people on this board take your informaton to heart if you don't think it's the best PvD album ever, why even post it?

See ya down in Miami!

Did you just realise that now?? It's too much hype that blinds the person of the reality mentioned.

wow i am so pleased i finally got this it feels like my birthday! ill still go to ny for the release though

anyway, paul pulled a surprise. a big effort to introduce himself as an artist to the world. i expected mixing, but i got weird transitions and a real "album". overall, i am very pleased. it didnt meet my expectations in that its not what i expected. but its definitely pleasure to my ears. to be honest, i dont like "like a friend".

i love crush, though its not really new to us. i love the album version of time of our lives, its just a pure rock song. and it came from pvd! go figure. nice collaboration. reflections is very nice. nothing but you is always awesome- no not new, but hey at least we all finally got the best version w/out tetris noises or poor liveset quality. home is quality, THATS LIFE AND SPELLBOUND-i love them. these are what REALLY stand out from the new material. knowledge is okay, and i really think paul should knock off "like a friend" and throw "autumn" in there to make the cd perfect!

i really dig this. its not what i expected, but hey, i do not want to be able to predict what my favorite artist is going to do....

Posted by umes23 on Sep-09-2003 04:46:

Invisible Grin

i just had to come back to say.....

i LOVE SPELLBOUND !!!

Posted by obsessive on Sep-09-2003 06:16:

mix cd or track & track?? tracktimes?? curious, till official release in us...

Posted by darksteppin36 on Sep-09-2003 07:47:

I just dled the album (Don't worry I'm gonna still buy it!!). This album is good but not what I expected. I love:
Crush
Thats life
NBY
Connected
Reflections
TOOL

One thing that I do not like is that Jan Johnston is singing on 6 tracks. Her voice gets very sickning after a couple minutes. For some reason this album feels incomplete. I think Paul has something up his sleeves (limited 2cd set maybe). I give the album a 7/10

Posted by Mimick on Sep-09-2003 14:05:

i'm very saddened to say that this album is mediocre :/
the best track on this album is definetly Connected. and whats up with Knowledge? Never in my life did i ever imagine that i would hear the "word up" on a pvd track (or since 1994 for that matter)
