To me it seems like a combination between different music styles. Something between hard trance, drum & bass with gitars and some vocals. Me luvs them!

w00t... i love prodigy... you cant beat cruising around listening to smack my bitch up on a banging system

btw funny story thats sorta related...
on friday my friend and i were on our lunch break and we went to wendy's... at this wendy's (lame pa) you have to wait in line for the drive through in the middle of a parking lot... so we werent being assholes and decided to leave space for ppl in the parking lot to get through... so we're next in line and the car in front of us is pulling away from the speaker... then some old mofo pulls right in in front of us and steals our fuckin spot! needless to say we were pissed... so my friend got about 2" off his bumper and started fuckin blaring prodigy-firestarter so the guy's order would get messed up

fun shit

True story about The Prodigy

I live about 20 miles away from 3 members of The Prodigy
thats Near Chelmsford in Essex UK.
Keith of The Prodigy lives in a place called Felstead just outside of Chelmsford but before he bought his new place, he looked at many homes in the area including my Mom's which was for sale at the time.
So he comes round, gives my mom's place the once over and heads upstairs to veiw it and on to my sister's bedroom.
She is a bit of a Hippy into all sorts of dance music
flyers all over her walls etc.
So keith looking at the flyers , Ask's "so i see you like dance music, ever heard of a band called The Prodigy ? "
My sister replys " Oh yeah i heard of them, they are total crap ! "
(she said this not realising who she was talking to )

Hence keith did not buy my Mom's house lol

And now my sister is a devoted Prodigy Fan lol

(This all happened a while back about 7 years ago before the Jilted Generation Album )

interesting story..got another of my own
back in 96 when i was around 13 i attended boarding school. That school happened to be in Felsted and to everybody there at the time it was known as Felsted School. dunno if it is now cause i aint there anymore. anyway i was at a chinese restaurant called the boote house(i know it doesn't chinese) when a freak(keith) of 5"3' walked in and sat in the waiting room waiting for their order. apparetly i was spaced out and at the same time was trying to look at how many piercings the guy had on his face without him noticing me being curious. not until i got back to the school and sat down to eat it clicked and i ran telling all my friends i saw the prodigy and they thought i was retarded. i knew they came to the boote house at times and lived in an area called Braintree near Chelmsford. i also knew they had a sports car which they came in but cant remember colour or make. got liams signature later but i think i misplaced it

i never saw the members of the prodigy again after that

That's cool...I'd really wanna meet at least 1 member of the band some day. They are cool people as well as talented musicians.Too bad things change and they don't all stick together for the rest of their lives for instance, Leeroy Thornhill who used to be a dancer and who used to be a huge part of their live shows, along with Maxim, is not in the band anymore cuzz...god knows why.

Dancing Dude

Well I liked Prodigy too - espec. the "Music for the jilted generation" album, but I have to admit I'm quite curious what's their new style.. I mean will they follow the current trends (well, Prodigy remains Prodigy no matter the era, but.. will they make it commercial?) or stick with the good style? Because I'd like another "No good" (yeah.."I don't need nobody.. got who I need!!! )
