I think steve's set has to identified as breaks/tech/electro/house
I hate when people consider everything besides trance that sounds housy as progressive.
Progressive is not what you think it is. There are tons of different progressive genres.
Learn music genres before making a valid statement.

dEsidEL: How you would best describe the style of music you spin. I.e. trance, progressive, techno, house, drum & bass, etc. sohaness: progressive |

Also, compared to the other DJs spinning tomorrow night, defining Porter as prog is more than acceptable because he's spinning alongside D+B and trance where those 2 genres are considerably different from progressive house/trance whatever you want to call it. Now if he was spinning alongside Sander K or something, perhaps one would like to specify what form of progressive tracks Porter would spin, as both Sander K and Porter spin prog but different styles of it.
hey guys,
wow...i come back from work and see all this 'excitment' about my demo...lol
the demo that is posted is the 30 minute mix that i did for the heineken contest. i was trying to incorporate a little bit of everything in that set...breaks, house, trance, etc.
anyway, since i am opening the night at TA invasion 4, i def. wont be playing like that. I will be playing prog but it will be on the trancier side, which is the kind of stuff i enjoy playing the most. that demo cd is not indicative of my 'opening style' at all...it's more suited for a later set.
just come out on the 19th and enjoy the tunes...y'all wont be disappointed!
steve.
