She's heading straight for DC 
Crap, I think I'm going to have to sandbag my gf's front door. She lives in a basement apartment in G'town and sometimes her apartment floods during heavy rains alone. This means driving down sometime wednesday and then making it back up to philly for work on thursday 
some places in jersey near me have already started flooding.
this is going 2 be my first hurricane in my life. heheh. im not even scared! what's their to be scared of anywayS? just stay in da house

When you lose power due to 115 mph winds knocking out powerlines, then losing cable & phones for the same reasons, you'll be a little scared.
I'm not really scared for myself, but my friends. Some are rednecks and are going to Dover for the race no matter what. Some are in the valley where severe flooding have flooded a few cities.
It's going to be great! I hope that the storm hits Philly with a little power, so that I can go home on Friday earlier. Or it hits really hard that night so that I don't have to go to work at all.

No ipod here, and my backup-UPS only lasts for about 1/2 hour 
*thinking about buying a generator*
It would be agonizing to go for more than a day without trance!

Take it from me, catagory 2 is nothing to scoff at. Plus it hasn't hit the jet stream, which should help it strengthen.
Anyways I'm having a party if we don't have class on friday, so it should be a good time.
haha.

this whole thing is a crock of poopie.
we have about 5 bottles of red wine, a big bottle of tequila, some raspberry stoli, vodka and rum. might also have a half case of beer. i think we're ready for this one! now if one the university would cancel class...
only 4 bottles of wine were new purchases. i'm not sure if that makes me and my roommates appear to be any less alcoholic, but that was my goal.
