re

"other than commercial/cheesy trance?"

Zombie nation is not trance,it is techno. It was a monster tune in it's day.Just because it had chart success doesn't make it cheesy.Fair enough it was overplayed but i have memories of carl cox finishing his set at creamfields with it and every single person in the place went mental.

Posted by TranceMission on Sep-19-2003 11:28:

Kerkraft is a good tune.. I mean yeah overplayed... but it was liked by everyone during its time... and come on just because a mass public likes a song it doesnt make it cheese...!!!

I agree with you that it isn't a cheesy track, even though it was succesful. What is exactly cheesy about it, anyway?

I don't think it's techno, more of bass-heavy trance with strong old-skool ties, a very ravey feel to it.

Plasmic Honey - Fantasy (I will forever love this song)
Quadraphonic - I can feel your love (Gareth Emery's GTR Remix)

You should test out some Nu-NRG on your friend, she might like it.

ohhh nu-nrg is awesome.... i should... although very uplifting.. im looking for a little more bass... i mean even house deep house music will work..

Posted by Frode on Sep-19-2003 16:32:

Instead of Benny Benassi - Satisfaction try Tomcraft - Loneliness (Benny Benassi Remix). Much better IMO.
Also the Kaylab Remix of Pumping beat.

Some others:
T. Raumschmiere - Monstertruckdriver
Ricky Forbis - No Regular
Elektrochemie LK - Solid Deep
Elektrochemie LK - When I Rock
Emmanuel Top - Acid Phase
Oliver Klitzing - I like that beat (Kaylab Mix)

I hope that helps.

Planet Perfecto - Bites da Dust (Extended Vocal)

I dont know... It just seems appropriate, Zombie Nation cheese - Jan Wayne cheese... seems like it goes hand in hand.

If you're looking for bass anthems, the Warp Brothers can't be beaten, especially their remixes.

Oh yeah...too uplifting for me. Didn't like this Gouryella production at all...not my style.
Would Ligaya fit TranceGurl's tracklist? Very strong, thick bassline and an absolutley mindblowing breakdown...
I think so

Gouryella - Ligaya(Original instrumental)

No, the thread is about songs LIKE Kernkraft400, and suggestions for TranceGurl's mix CD for her friend.
As always, threads involving suggestions either turn to meaningless arguments, or people stray from it and rarely come to a conclusion.

BTW, I like your Crimethinc sig...
