at least iive noticed far less thug behaviour/dressing style at ryerson...its more rockers/punks on our campus..but the rest all like to dress fashionably...so its all good on rye..

I can say that at post-secondary institutions... its a completely different atmosphere. The ghetto thugs stand out like sore thumbs here at U of T. I would wager that there are more people on campus who listen to electronic music than dress as thugs. It's just the culture.. It leans towards the indie kind of things.. anything 'underground' is considered cool at university... whereas its cool to be mainstream in highschool. Tastes are eclectic and MAYBE, just maybe... partially esoteric.. In 2 weeks, I've met 2 people who listen to trip hop. Thats an infinite times greater than I've met before university.

Not York as much at least. Well I haven't noticed it. What I have noticde though is dudes rocking the same jeans as their female counter parts. You gotta be carefull too cause if you see a nice ass you can't be too sure if its Angelas or Lorenzos, ginos fuck with my mind.

Daks - do you go to the same YOrk as I do? There are sooo many damn thugs around.
There's a lot of ginos too, but when you're 5km south of woodbridge, that's to be expected.

Ryerson's been an acreditted school since it had the "Polytechnic University" added to it. the name change to "Ryerson University" is just to make it seem more official.

Yep. I love how they always play jungle at Yorkfest during the day, it's awesome! They also played some Garage (meh) and some house earlier I believe. They do have Semiotic @ The Underground every Thurs though...hopefully I can convince them to do a trance thing? I dunno...I say we TRY at least..

As for the younger gr niner's, meh. My cousin is 16 and I got him into trance early on. He used to listen to rock/alternative shit before (I got him into that I think as well but also combined with shit he listened to in school). Then one day he went out and bought PvD's out there and Back. He's listening to trance ever since. He saw Talla at a beach party oversea's in Cyprus (lucky bastard...) :P. He also had some 30 hour marathon where you don't eat anything at school and sleep in the gym etc, and he was in charge of music, he dropped nothing but trance (I think), I've offered to spin, maybe this year, we'll see. His friends are into it too a little but there's this one kid, also Peter who is a complete wigger, I dunno if he actually likes it or is into it to be cool. He says it's because he actually does like it, meh. I should get him into the REAL hip hop/scratching shit...Q-Bert is amazing!

There are many options who can do to people to get them back, but it takes a little time and effort.

4)Using person's hacked ICQ or MSN password, get him into real trouble by sending threats to real bad people and promptly tell them to come to the wanna-be thugs house or to call if they want to fight.

4 is the most enjoyable !
