So no more Goldclub events? Weird...they just had a lounge made and now they're moving out.

I wonder who's gonna take over.

I had thought that some alcohol companies including Heineken and such were stepping in soon...?

OH shit, I'm deeply sorry Peter. It's the I love Techno icon (yours has been moded ) I got you confused with Graham. Plus you were in Poland all summer.

Yeah the final Glod Club party is on friday, it's the Goldie, Bailey, Matrix & Clipz party, presented by Theory.

Sorry Mickey, I MIGHT do the same thing. If I hit up Armin I'll be there for a bit (not staying the entire night...that would be madness). Also seeing DD isn't my cup of tea either...seen them 3 times, not my thing, only ONCE were they somewhat ok and that was at Labour of Love last year...and I only caught about 20 min of their set...meh...different people like different things. I prefer Danny Howells, James Holden or Hernan.

Yeah I see what you're saying Chris. Deep Dish are SOO hit and miss, a lot of people aren't up for them at all this time around. Meh. The actual GU still goes down in history for me as something I will never forget. Magic in the air that night and i'm hoping to see some of that in October.

But alas, I'll probably be finding myself running from room to room. Plus you've never seen PVD if I'm correct? The man fucking kills it, it should be a good show.

Damn right Jon. As for me never having seen him? Look at my avatar...that was my first time seeing him...in KH in 2001...I doubt I'll ever forget that party. Then I saw him again in 2001 in Oct. That was also a mindfuck esp when he dropped Dreamland and Second Sun - Empire. Woooow.

Posted by USMC_Greg on Sep-23-2003 03:36:

I'm not sure what the world is coming to when people are going to see Deep Dish over PVD.

I've seen them both live.

PVD in montreal = one of the most fun nights of my life.
Deep Dish in Ottawa = one of the most boring times in my life.

lol...it's all cool man I was a little confused at first, why you called me Graham then I figured that we have similar icons (although, mine is better cause prog>techno!! ) hehehe had a good laugh at it

Deep Dish was amazing the night they spun in the Kool Haus (Labour of Love 2 years ago) and absolutely crazy for the GU Toronto party!! Not as impressed for the GU release party though....so i think they're due for an amazing set!

That was when Armin was next door, right? Hmmmm...I like Deep Dish, but I was kinda disappointed that night and kept dragging two friends back over to Guv for the real show

your right.. I'll never pay more than 50 cents to see armin after this show. I swear to god (crosses his fingers)

so it is confirmed then that PVD is an "open club" and we can walk over to tthe guv to see DD?

what abot armin? Are we all stuck in guv for endless amounts of hours?

Posted by matty on Sep-23-2003 17:14:

I have been missing these parties since the end of summer. There si absolutely nothing happening here so i'm planning to hit up Seb on friday, Armin saturday and pvd sunday.....

I have yet to see the man himself, PvD, spin so i will be hanging out in KH all night long. Plus Mark O is in there

i'll be bringing some friends from school too....hopefully i'll finally get to meet some of you guys...

ummmmmmmmm Yes.

And yes Armin's in Guv but you are not "stuck" per say as you can move between most of the rooms in the Guv complex...Koolhaus though will not be open I don't think as that night isn't an open complex type of party.

Posted by drewfactor on Sep-23-2003 19:36:

This is gonna be sweet. So happy PVD is in the Kool Haus. I love how the Guvernment anniversary party falls on my birthday every year. I remember the 5 year party like it was yesterday..where did those 2 years go? Time flies...

Maybe people have different taste in music? And maybe there might be other correlations, ever think that Montreal might be a better place to party than Ottawa?

I don't know what the world is coming to when people like yourself post your fucking ignorant opinion. WOOT!

<-- will proudly try to catch both shows
