yea,its a beautiful intro.

the whole set just frickin rocks. although i don't think i'll get into it at home the way i was into it at guv...it's still nice to look back on it and relive it. I'm really pissed that I missed him dropping Starecase's mix of U Know Y tho...I remember going to KH for a few minutes, and when I got back, In A State was already coming (and Chris was dying )

I opened it using Sound Forge 6 and then saved it to Mp3 format

ok who can host it so that we can all listen to what I missed from that night?

Posted by las3rjock on Sep-30-2003 00:07:

Hi TOTA peeps! I only posted part 1 of the Sasha set because I think i'm close to maxing out my quota, but it looks like a fair number of people have downloaded that, so I'm going to delete it and upload part 2. I've edited the link above accordingly, but in case your lazy like me, here it is: Sasha - Live from Labour of Love 2003 @ Guvernment, Toronto (part 2)

BTW, the reason I didn't convert it to MP3 is 1) offhand, I don't know how, and 2) converting it to MP3 would only make the already crappy audio quality even worse.

if only i could get Ferrys set from that night

Posted by EricVagrant on Oct-04-2003 11:58:

heard this set live at the guv that night... thought it was typical sasha and not pumpin enough... although upon hearing it none stop for the past several days... i'd have to say i love the set

Posted by las3rjock on Oct-04-2003 13:37:

I gotta agree with vtec junkie that the jam-packedness of the Guvernment made it harder to enjoy the set live. (I still loved it, though!) I also learned that night that one should always listen to progressive house before trance and not the other way around--it was a good thing I wandered to the Guvernment about an hour before Sasha was on the decks, cuz that was about how long it took for me to get into the progressive house vibe.

ok this is a wicked set, dont get me wrong

but how on earth did anybody listen to this in a club...its so slow!

groovy gorgeous music, but its like prog for a martini lounge! Not for a main room like Guv

ok this thread can die again now

I know it was going off, I was there!!! I was stuck outside Charlies trying to get down the stairs until I gave up and went up to skybar...

I just cant see it now.

Posted by Endlesswave on Nov-25-2003 07:09:

You mean you were stuck at the Drink right J? The drink is next to the booth in the mainroom of Guv...

Posted by j_spot on Nov-25-2003 08:14:

i like my beats fairly 'driving' and had been disappointed the previous few times seeing Sasha...however I was loving his set when I was there that night....upon listening to the recording later I was scratching my head though, b/c it sounded so slow...many people who were there have made the same observation - to the point where some people have floated the idea that maybe it was pitched down before it was put on his website for download; totally unconfirmed, but it would explain a lot

Just record the set directly using a program like sound forge. You just have to set the record option in the audio mixer to record from teh line out out on your soundcard.
