Sorry but it is racist in the sense that middle eastern does NOT equate with muslim extremism. Perhaps you should understand that the region is a hodge podge of cultural and religious diversity ranging from middle eastern christianity to judaism. Implying that middle eastern husbands subvert their wifes to their dominion is the equivalent to saying that white southerners are all members of the kkk who desire a return to slavery.

how is it a generalization? how bout its a fact? i watch my 20/20 and witness middle eastern men and women admitting to either controlling their wives or admitting to being controlled by their husbands. sure, its a part of their culture, but i dont agree with it. just as much as i dont agree with white, black, asian...whoever husbands controlling their wives actions and decisions.

but its a little dramatic to call me a racist when i was just making a point about his intentions. not like TA doesnt have enough drama of its own...

so lets put this to rest, or you can pm me for any further questions

even if there might be an outstanding issue of this being done in that general area, I do not think it is good to go as far as saying it's common knowledge that everyone does it. That's like saying 100% of americans eat fastfood ( not the same type of thing, but just another form of stereotype ).

I was implying that it was erroneous to genearlize that kids who go to raves all take drugs and are fucked up. Some do yes ... in general NO!

i don't mind my gf going alone/with friend anywhere... except clubs. Its not that I don't trust her, I don't trust the hordes of drunk males over there plus she's pretty weak at defending herself

actually even when I was with her at the club, she got harassed, and I was only a couple of meters away....

and ahem yeah, i'm middle eastern, you can say whatever you want, it won't change a thing, I care about her alot, it has nothing to do with backward mentality and such.

I'll have to agree with CraveTheRave and tranceyes. If his gf wants to go the club by herself with her friends, it's not up to him to say that she can or can not go. He's just going to have to trust her that she won't do anything, and if he can't do that, I'd suggest he'd find another gf.

for some reason i quite take offense to this thread.

there are women here too, could have asked an opinion on what we like to do at clubs.

believe me it's all about the music. i love to have my other half there, because as you should know it enhances the experience, and maybe if it doesnt you are with the wrong person.

dont get me wrong, you don't have to be stuck to each other all the time.

i suppose like all things, different strokes for different folks.

One night i went out with my friend to a club (bussines not pleasure ) becouse my GF wanted to see a DJ i didnt really like. So anyway we are at that club and to my surprise i find my GF there (100km away from where she was supposed to be) kissing one of her girlfriends. I watched them from the balcony for a few minutes then thought "what the heck" and went down and joined the fun Just 2 bad that the meeting my friend had with the manager of the club didnt take long becouse i ahd to go just when things were getting interesting

So i say trust your GF and let her have a little fun

Going with friends but without b/f, ok... going alone? As Malek said, no matter how much I trusted a girl, I wouldn't trust the other guys in those clubs. There's gotta be someone to watch out for her. Not WATCH HER, but WATCH OUT FOR HER. Can we see the difference here?

I mean, what if your girl told you that she felt like taking a walk alone around the ghetto part of town at 3 am, would you be OK with that?

I just don't think going to a club all alone is very safe for any girl, unless she's meeting people outside or immediately inside, and no that's not saying they're "weak", it's saying that there are frickin' criminals in there that won't take no for an answer.

And if you explain to your girlfriend that you are concerned about her safety, not her conduct, I would expect her to be OK with that. If she's not, then that might be good reason to suspect an alterior motive for her going.

Oh one last thing... mec, you never really made it clear whether or not you were invited. Did you want to go with and she flat-out refused? Or does she just want to go to a place you're not interested in?
