But its a fact that Antec makes the best PS on the market, my Antec 1080A case came with Antec TruePower 450watts and its great! the PS by itself goes for $100+.

I can make it work at 6000RPM but thats wayyyyyyyyy to loud, my wife wont agree to that, and neither would I.
At 3000RPM its great, cools good and not loud.

Dont get a 2400+. Get one of these: http://www.systemcooling.com/module...rticle&sid=1165, an abit nf7-s rev. 2 motherboard and a thoroughbred 1700+ and oc it as much as u can (probably around 2300mhz).

I have XP1700B in my system right now, running at 2.2GHz @ 200x11 .... but I rather have an XP2500 Barton running at 2.4GHz+ ... damn I cant wait for monday so I can get it already!!

BTW, IM SELLING MY ATHLON XP 1700 TB ... its B core and I had it up to 2.3GHz!!! if anyone interested let me know Ill let it go for 45 bucks!!
Just FYI the 1700 TB are VERY rare and if you can find them they go for upto 80 bucks!!

1. remove hard drive + cd-rw drive & put in 2 bigger hds
2. add new sound card + lan card
3. expand RAM to 256mb

not bad, but when you computer can't physically fit more than 3 drives + floppy + doesn't have enough power wires, it's kinda said.

by the way, my current power supply says "100W" on it. i'm wondering how the cock i've been able to use it for almost 4 years.

Asus A7N8X D ownz Abit nF7-s, I bought Abit and returned it because it was a big pile of shit!
I had my Athlon XP1700 running at 240FSB, till I reduced it in the summer due to heat.

or get an nForce 2 board with built-in geForce 4 MX video, better than spending 50$ on ATI 9000, which sux + these motherboards have excellent sound onboard 6.1, no need to buy a separate card. The MB also come with 1 or 2 networks cards, USB 2.0, optional firewire/serial ata.

Kingston HyperX runs purely on 5-2-2-2(CL2.0)-1T, stable as rock in dual channel mode (tried both 256 and 512 sticks).

Now benchmark scores -> Kingston bechnmarked almost 22% higher than Crucial/Corsair + it was cheaper.

yes, those timings work on some boards like ASUS, but what really happens (if u have an ASUS board), the BIOS automatically slows down the RAM to prevent crashing, so those timings are fake, not real.

Now if you have the low latency Crucial XMS LL, then those sticks are good, but the price is a rip off.

Best choice, Kingston HyperX (512 megs for 98$, 256 for 57$) where is Crucial is around 140$ for 2 LL sticks.

Hell no dude, Im a member on nForce boards for ages now, and they are pros they know alot more then you or me.
And my board runs at 4-2-2-2 and my bandwith is around 3500mbs, and 100% stable.
BTW, I bought my Corsair XMS DDR400 512MB from newegg for 90 bucks when they had sale.
