Damn it, when i try to convert my melody i made with fruity to MIDI type file it turns out to be dameged or something, plays no notes at all, and shows 0:00 time.

Anyone got any idea why it doesnt work for me?

btw, it might be cool if we could all hear the melodies. not just the chosen one but all of them after this first stage is done.

DJ-Krieng, you'll have to insert a midi-out channel and put you melody in that...then it should work

and a question: if you send a melody, but come up with a better later on, can't you just delete the old and replace it with the new melody?

you can't, that's why i said don't submit anything too fast..

But I'm a bit stuck, just as I wanted to give a melody I was thinking whether it'd be a good idea to not kep the best melodies you think of for yourself... If you don't win in stage 2, the winner is gonna get all the praise with your melody, right?

that's not entirely true, the one who wrote the melody can be mentioned as well in the 'written and produced by'-part.. besides, it's only the main melody we're talking about here, there's always going to be a different build-up, counter-melodies, etc.

moreover, the identity of the one who wins stage 2 will not be revealed immediatly after the closing date. you'll notice when i post the details of stage 2 in two weeks..

You're right about the buildup part Kev. Will there be one 'original' mix of the track, or will it all be remixes, like 20 versions of the anthem?

I hope the track that comes out of this will be a little bit less straightforward and monotonuous than the somewhat average (in my opinion) trance.nu anthem

for the moment i don't know what will happen after the competition is over.. there will be 1 official anthem of course, but it's up to Swamper to decide what's going to happen with the other mixes.

one thing i can tell you is that every user on TA will be able to cast his vote in what will be a huge poll.
