Anytime man,
thats what we're here for. We argue, bitch, complain..and sometimes even provide a half-decent heart-warming post here and there.

I do have a picky quality about myself, but its only human - I want a fun/spontaneous girl, who likes to go out every so often and dine or party, but I also want a girl thats cool with staying home and just watching a movie. Looks wise, just like any person male or female, I want her to be attractive w/ a cute face and nice eyes (Im obsessed with eyes), and Im not asking for big tits or a nice round ass, just give me something to look at and smile. I dont want a supermodel, just give me some love. |
Remember guys women love you just as much as you love them, its all a matter of confidence in approaching and talking to women, I treat them with respect and expect the same in return, any different and I am on my way. I am what girls refer to as that "sensitive yet manly guy", okay so I put in a plug for myself sue me. Women are just as nervous to speak to you as you are to them at first. Just be confident and the rest will follow. Ciao
Confidence is hard to build when for 20 yrs., 99.9% of the time all you hear is rejection.

Re: I know this may sound sad but....
I had my best luck to meet girls via friends.. I had this co-worker girl, she was married, but I always pitched to her if she has any single girlfirends, send them my way. Through her I had 3 dates, one of those became my girl...
Dont be afraid to come up to a girl in clubs.. Guys afraid rejections (just like premature ejaculations).. Dont be.. Come to a girl, but be YOURSELF and just say hi, what is your name, etc... Don't try to grab her waistline the first second, but at the same time, dont be shy to make moves and show her your interest.. I had luck frenching club girls back in the dayz... My friends been as lucky as handjobs in Roxy (very recently) and of course, once u get older & your dates, u will take most of those dates for a good fcuk to your house...
Try yahoo dating or dating.com or local papers..
Try ICQ also.. install ICQ and search for girls 17-30 (or whatever age u prefer) in your state, zip code, city, etc...
I did my city, russian and came up with 23 names, actually met up with a few... So, try your luck there..
Many hook up via AOL chat rooms.. go to dating room or your state room or something....
I used to hook up with many message board chicks, I found out most of them r fake though and only good for a ride or few, but u might have different luck...
And ye, most russian chicks in NYC area are mad material.. And so r most american girls.. But it ain't matter.. It's all about how u handle yourself... If ya got the skillz u don't need a bmw to pick up chicks.. Also, as u get older u will suddenly gain a LOT more sex appeal.. Don't ask why, but u will.. Actually @ 25, u should be up there already...
btw, I am recently married dude....

| Originally posted by pvd420 I was going to put this in the rant thread but changed my mind... I have read on here that some of you have found that special person in another forum member. I was wondering how this worked out for those of you that did. My problem is that a lot of stuff takes up my time (school, teaching, my other job, etc) and I have found it impossible to meet anyone in quite sometime. I've looked at all those online ads and such cause they worked once for me, but at this point in my life I need to find someone who likes to go out clubbing. Most of the people in those adds say they arent into the club scene, or dont care for electronic music, so no luck there. When I do get a chance to go out (like to Armin on wed), even though I am in an environment surrounded by lots of girls, I just dont want to come off like one of those assholes in the club that girls always complain about. I have the hardest time approaching anyone. Working with kids constantly I am not really surrounded by that many prospects. Time feels like it's passing by ever so quickly and there's no one in my life to share it with. Maybe I'm just venting but I keep telling myself all of those tired cliches (the right person is out there, etc etc). I see all these couples together when I am at the club, I just want to be one of those people. I dont even know why I wrote this post but it made me feel a little better to type out my frustrations. Can anyone relate to this? I read this message board the most so I figured this was a good a place as any to vent. The ironic part is that the person I am looking for is someone I've probably seen when I go out clubbing. I just think that it's hard to be a nice guy and find the type of girl I want to be with. I'm sure things will seem brighter in the morning. Thanks for listening.... |

i know exactly how you feel. it gets really depressing after a while. i meet people all the time at the clubs but it never works out. all i want is someone like me who loves the music and likes to party seems easy right? too bad it's not. then the fact that i live in a shit town hours away from everything doesn't help either..when i do meet someone i like the distance usually gets in the way. i'm starting to lose faith in the whole "soulmate" theory.
ye, I stopped beleiving in soulmate theory (of probabilities) LONG time ago..
its all about compromise though, u compomise for her and her compromises for u.. Its all about getting on the same page no matter what...

it is not impossible to meet people in new york city. the last two guys i met where into it, you just have to go the right places. oen i met on a messageboard (he was a prick but they all arent) and the other i met in a park at an outdoor party. fortunately for us it rained so we were able to go somewhere else and actually talk.
anyway, a club is a bad place to meet someone for a relationship unless you are really lucky. it's dark, you can hardly see them or hear them enough to get more than a name. i think if you want to meet someone for a relationship of substance you need to be in a venue with less noise. my advice is get into the scene more, meet more people and through that you will meet more girls. you would be amazed at the amount of single people in the edm scene in new york.
ALL guys r into "it"..
- I know a russian couple that met @ SF, they r now married..
what is edm scene?
should we have our own dating thread?

I'm in a similiar boat as pvd420 and many others who shared their stories. I'm 23 and have full time job, full time school, and dj/produce on the side. My co-workers are all 10 years older than me, married and with children. I attend night school where the majority of classmates have full-time jobs and their own very ambitiously busy lives. Those who don't, have a boyfriend. (Naturally) I gave up on letting love come to me because that doesn't work. I learned I needed to be pro-active to get what I want in relationships and in life. What I dispense now is my perception on how the dating life is from the eyes of a bachelor.
1. It is not about money. Why? Because when you meet a girl, they don't know whether you have money or not. They judge you in 30 seconds and decide whether you're worth their time. I think for most guys the problem is getting their foot in the door. In fact, my friend is always broke and he dates (and sleeps with) more girls than anyone I've ever met or heard of.
2. It's about attitude. Some people call it throwing vibes. Guys who act like they don't give a fuck gets a fuck. It's illogical but it's reality. I can't do this very well. It's not in my personality to be an asshole. I'm humble, cautious and introspective. Guys are littered with personality flaws yet flamboyant and confident enough to mask it gets the girl. Pretend you're watching a movie and you play yourself. And a girl has to pick between you (PG-13 guy) and some Rated-R guy who the audience isn't really sure whether they like him or not. The interesting character is obvious.
3. Don't be a "nice" guy. Nice guy to girls mean you're not the alpha male and subordinate to other guys. DOn't try to be nice all the time. You're either nice or you're not. No point in trying to be nice.
Here's an interesting story. My player friend has slept with 100+ girls and one day he tells me this. He has treated three girls in his entire life like gold. Bought them stuff, acted gentlemanly, prince charming type. Those are the only 3 girls that ever dumped him. Doesn't make sense. I know the guy well and I believe him but I still don't believe that's the way things work.
