agree with u here

my feelings about him repeating some tracks has not lessened my excitement and anticipation for roxy in any way shape or form.

him promoting reflections does make sense though.

i think most importantly the crowd will be great next month, like it was last november and everything else will follow suit...

well, i was thinking he was getting lazy too, but I saw him last nite at Guvernment in Toronto. I guess he decided to mess with my head, cuz he would drop the beginning intro for all his expected songs, and bam he'd change it to something else. u thought u knew a guy.... but in the end he played them all anyway haha

I think everyone is looking in to this to deeply. I agree with most that say he shouldn't be playing tracks more than once. He is trying to promote Reflections, which to me is not the greatest thing on the face of the earth, and that kind of explains his repetitive tracklist. I don't think he's fallin' off or anything. I just think he's doing what any musician would do when they release a new album. Keep the faith my fellow PVD fans. He won't let us down, especially at ROXY. He's still the best, and he will be for a long time. Hakunah Matada.

haha thats right joey...HAKUNA MATADA!!!!!!!! it means no worries , for the rest of your dayyyyyyyyy....HAKUNA MATADA...HAKUNA MATADA!!!!!!!!!!

his sets lately (energy and einslive einhitsrave) have been really good. full of energy and bangin. if he plays that way next month (only a month from today!!), it will be a great night...

I'm mixed on PvD lately. His sets are actually better than what he was spinning in the beginning of the year. He experimented with all kinds of music but apparently is comming back around to what he does best. Yet his album "Reflections" was mostly a dissapointment. :sadblue

I was sooo loooking forward to it but when I heard PvD trying to do RAP????? what the funk? he also haid a number of tracks that were just sooo shit! Aside from what we already heard on the floor, I would say that album was a major major disapointment. I feel cheated.

Ok., that's my gripe for today..

but paul is always about keeping an open mind. Yes, I'd rather not see him work with pimp daddy.. er puff daddy, but it is his choice. If it ends up not going well he's going to come back or move onto something else.

I am waiting for novemeber to see what he is like.

that is true
but thats no excuse for him to play every song on it twice
ot to mention, just cause he released a new cd, it doesnt mean his set has to suck donkey nuts for the sake of shameless self promotions. We are all proud paul released a new CD but i think I will pass on PVD next month, i can easily promote reflections from my house.

i think he deserves to slide down the rankings this year... then maybe he will REFLECT back on his sets over the past year and figure out y

Paul should do an album with Blank & Jones and Westbam. That would give the best possible blend between trance, techno and progressive electro sounds

Yuk Rap!

Talking

, Hey if he spins a track twice, I see no problem, ummm like if your in the bathroom and that can take a while lol

Posted by DjObscene on Oct-16-2003 07:26:

with a 6 hour set at roxy i could care less if he plays his new stuff twice because there will be enough time for some classics and whatever else he might have in store for us...all i can say is that i'm excited

Posted by Taub on Oct-16-2003 08:43:

he has to play some breaks and prog...yeh thats the way to go

well the thing is, there is no real reason that he has to spin a song twice AT ALL as far as im concerned...that's why Summerstage was SUCH a disappointment...In February and prev. parties he had more than enough to spin each track once...well im sure he knows NOT to. Hopefully Summerstage was an exception because he was thinking too much about promoting "Reflections". He definitely made up for that with the playlist at the Virgin signing tho. So Im hoping for another stellar 6 hr set in November...

from good resources...

...hey guys.. just thought this would help out this topic ..PvD is currently promoting his CD and while visiting the states that weekend didn't view his crowd like he would a berlin crowd. Keep in mind that his fan's that see him once a year or so from here in the states is totally different than the crowd's he's playing for in Europe.. the trance scenes are totally different. Of course for many of us who are here voicing our opinions on the forums.. we're more in tune with whats going on than the average joe smoe in DC.. so understandably.. it was a chill night for him.. he's been working hard and he more or less relaxed and played to a "Washington, DC" crowd which compared to Berlin doesn't have the same expectations from him! Plus lets face it.. there are a lot of psuedo fans around here that would have been more or less like.. what in the world is he playing?... so he was just trying to meet what he thought was DC's taste
