It was just fucking unbelieveable, these guys are the shit!

If only I didn't have exams...
Oh well. To everyone that is going, have fun!
BIg ups to everyone who made it to the Sydney show - Wade, diggs, morro, mel, lis, matt, anf, keith, mez, susan, and anybody else ive forgotten... was a great night indeed - a little annoyed that i had to leave early (migraines and bass just do NOT get along.... that was just a MAJOR world of pain!), but i hope everyone had a great night and kicked it hard to the end.....
Infusion - one of the best live acts ive seen, amazing set - just what i was after....
James Zabiela - was james zabiela.... nuff said!!! Amazing
Tyler Stadius - Huge suprise - played very close to the best set of the night (infusion pipped him at the post), perfect warm up set to get people in the mood - watch this guy he will be BIG, if last nights set was anything to go by!!!
All up agreat night, with great music, great company and a great crowd....... just too bad about the ending for me..
Wish I could have made this one, by the sounds of things everyone had a good time which is nice to hear. What were some tracks played in the night?
just so you know
zabiela totally tore the roof off in melbourne last night!!!
almost everybody wants to go up front and see how he systematically abused the CDJs and the efx...
wicked night...
met some au.ta too ...
memorable.... definitely will see him again next year (if so destined)!!
this definitely close my long weekend rampage in a high note...

Heaps of energy in this kid too.

Let's just say he got a little over excited.

Zabiela was just nuts, as far as track selection go personally I could've done with some with a bit more melody, in other words I couldn't go and see him every couple of weeks. But once every couple of months; YES. Very very driving sorta stuff, heavy bass Heaps of energy in this kid too.Jono Fernandez was awesome in the side room too. Really nice track selection, heaps of accapella's thrown over tracks. Big thanks to Virginia, Renegade & Tachyon for keeping a rather worn out me entertained and able to enjoy a great end to this loonngg weekend. Some memorable quotes from Renegade (who seemed to be trying to Out-Gumble the Gumble as far as Beermongers go)... (He sure has a mouth on him )"Man I feel like jumping over the barrier & just masturbating over the decks" "He's un-fucking-believable! I have never been mastubatory over a dj before for pure skill alone" "I could practice for twenty eight thousand years & still never be this good" Charming.. isn't he? Let's just say he got a little over excited. But yeah, Zabiela was barra. |

but remember, no-one out gumbles gumble!| quote: |
Also..................... Luke Chable & Hybrid are doing a track together |
Haha, thanks Duncs. Forgotten I'd said all that.
But seriously, Zabiela was fucking awesome. I'm not a DJ, and I'm usually not that great at picking technique, but my god can that boy play. I was standing there about 10 metres from the booth, just watching him do his stuff (he permanently had a groop of chin-strokers standing at the booth and watching him so it was pretty hard to get a decent view sometimes) and I was blown away. I kept on trying to tell anyone who had the misfortune of standing by me, "MAN THAT'S TWO RECORDS PLAYING AT ONCE. ALL THE FX ARE HIS DOING. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS?" so I guess it might be wise to cut back on the Stella next time (especially at seven bucks a bottle).
Very impressed with JZ as a person as well. We went to watch Jono Fernandez in the side-room and he just wanders in and starts millng with us plebs. Shook his hand, said something gushing about what a bloody good DJ he was and he was good enough to smile and nod rather than run away (said something similar to Luke Chable about his production skills and he just like: "Um, yeah. So anyway, Virginia...."
). Also bought him a beer but he said he didn't drink, so I had to endure the trauma of drinking them both in the end.... ![]()
And for some stupid reason we decided it would be a good idea to go to the club Evolution afterparty as well (man was that a mistake - you know you're in trouble when you're the seediest looking person at a Monday morning afterparty). But even though it was a bit of a blur in parts, it was a top a night. Great meeting Virginia, Duncan, Gerry and Jules (top cameo mate
) and hopefully we'll be able to do it again soon (anyone for Stacy Pullen on the 25th?
).
what tha???
faark!!
the afterparty is actually at evolution?
so duncs, the joke that I threw in while in car with you and nick about the afterparty being at evolution were actually true!!
what are the odds..
chances are slim for t/list unfortunately
except for that blur mashup..
also i got a friend who went, and that was her first party ever....what a treat...
