i think that alot of people have made marriage a joke, which is unfortunate. However, just because some people make poor judgement doesn't mean i am going to give up on marrige. My parents have been happily married for 27 years now. Not everyone ends up in divorce. Besides, what if i was a married woman but my husband brutally beat me everyday, what am i supposed to do? Or what if i was married and my husband went around raping children all day? I think there are exeptions. When i go into my marrige i will do so with the full intention of spending the rest of my life with this person and remain faithful to them. I don't think there is anything illogical about that.

sorry it was definatly too much but it was a repeat from another thread and i didn't look at the picture long enough for fear of repultion, i didn't realize entirety of it's discusting nature. exactly, marriage, as well as love, don't mean what they are supposed to mean. society's interpretation of both terms has corrupted beyond our imagination.

Read some of the early feminist literary works relating to marriage - especially if you're a girl - I swear, you'll be utterly shocked. I wish I could remember some of those link, maybe I'll post one later...

But yeah, marriage in the traditional sense is admirable, it's very refreshing to see an old-fashioned girl in this day an age.

I need to point out here that a lot of innocent women follow feminist ideals and principles without really understanding what it's all about. People need to read the works that some of the feminists actually wrote, all about how family is obsolete and men are the scum of the earth.

i may get torched for saying this as well.. but i can't express how important it is to stay at home and raise your children. Im sure alot of you will say "yes thats nice, if you can afford it." Well my plan is to work, get married, have alot ALOT of safe sex until we can AFFORD to have a kid. Have a kid, and stay home for at least 4 years rasing it until it can go to school. I hope this plan works because i really feel it is important for a woman AS GLORIOUS AND INDEPENDANT AND WHATEVER she is to stay at home. I think a mother is the cornerstone of the family and there is nothing degrading about that.

ok you busted me on grammar, i ment the other way around of course, but know i better understand what you are saying and can agree. I don't know what the hell most feminists are trying to prove, after the war, i don't think anyone downgraded women but women femminists.

ok seriously my wife i plan for her to stay home when we have kids for a few years mauybe 3 because my mother i know will help raise my kids...its kinda tradition..like my grandma raised me when my mom had to go back to work...and my mother will put my kids in line...a couple of backhands a few woodenspoond to the back of the head and theyll be ready fro the real world

i don't understand how they could think work is better than raising kids. ffs, you look at the women in their late 30s, rich successful real estate agents and the such... what do they have? happiness? yes, they're successful, and then what? it's all about babysitters now... and then we bitch about our kids growing up to be defunct and using drugs and having psychological problems. raising kids is just so much more rewarding than working your ass off to become successful. you learn from them as much as they learn from you; kids need parents' love. but that's my opinion, of course everyone has their own view of happiness.

WS - I _HAVE_ to meet you next time you're around TO, I need corroboration that it's actually a girl saying these things and not a guy.

well, thankyou! i don't want to come across as self-righteous, and i don't want other girls to read previous posts and say "ATTENTION WHORE" because that's not what it's all about. I think i have this experience and untaintedness because of a few reasons.

1)i grew up in a small biology research field station in the middle of the rocky mountains here in alberta(which used to be a prisoner of war camp), with 3 other kids to hang around and nothing to do but kick a ball around and look for bears. therefore leaving me untainted.

2)my parents never bought into that trendiness bullshit that became so huge in the 90's, wearing labels like 'guess' and 'request jeans'
and being young i couldn't afford to do it myself so i didn't.

3)i TRYED to be cool and trendy and another mindless sheep in the flock in highschool, but they REJECTED ME! I was too radical and diffrent to associate with this L33T crowd and so for some miraculous reason i didn't take it personally and decided to become noticably diffrent. I didn't hang around people in school i just hung around the library reading MAD magazines and cutting class and going home (and getting away with it)

4) my religion.

5)dating alot of really shitty guys and after getting dumped by them, scheeming of ways i could get them back. After a while, i recognized this ridiculous pattern and started to have standards and accept defeat.

so there are 5 reasons that can contibute to my untaintedness.
im hungry.

someone make a post abt there past....where all ta's can explain their pasts i think that would be a cool idea
