we didn't. people joked that we were the perfect couple. in love, but didnt show it off. able to spend time without each other. this really did come all of a sudden.
it took me so long to rip away from it, because I couldn't believe the change. how could someone change overnight?

I seriously hope the rest of you guys aren't like this. No way I'd ever go lesbian, but damn...
If any of you really treated someone like crap and disrespect, explain yourself! at once.

I put up with it, because he was an amazing boyfriend up until these past few weeks. He was Mr. Perfect. I put up with it, because in the back of my mind I had some false hope that he would return the guy I fell madly in love with.
I hate him now for how he treats me, and I wish he never came back, but then again I don't.
I know I put myself in a shitty situation, I'm not denying it was my fault. What I am bitching about is how he took advantage of the fact that I'm gullible and so damn giving. I give my whole heart out and thats the problem. |
Rebound Guy, It worked for me, Now my ex wants to get back but i say no i moved on ... she is still trying says i'm here only love and all but i ain't doing it, cause i feel i would use her instead and that goes against all my morals.

His change in behavior is likely attributed to 1 of 4 possibilities:
1. He has done something behind your back and it has changed his outlook on the relationship he shares with you
- at first I wasn't going to think this was a possibility, and I thought Butterfly was merely projecting her past situation onto yours (I mean no offense Butterfly - I just remember your situation). But she is correct that this can be a cause to a change in behavior.
2. His true colors are coming out.
- Red flag behavior here. Get out while you still have no broken bones in your body.
3. There's more to the story (as there often is), and we're hearing your side only. His version may simply be that things were moving too fast, and he didn't want a relationship.
-People moving in together does one of 2 things to a man: it brings him closer to his girlfriend, or it scares him into being locked down with 1 person for good. To those who are not ready, the ladder usually results.
4. He's turning gay.
-It's been known to happen. Outside shot I guess.
In any case, his behavior has changed for a reason. He has lost interest in you, or at least shown a lack of interest in the relationship you once had. Even if you move away from him and he eventually sees what he has lost and tries to get you back, you should be weary of his actions on this day. The actions one does today has a direct impact on the actions one does in the future. Be weary of these types and move on. Much more stable individuals out there.
Go forth to greener pastures young lady.

I'm still confused as to why you did all of that nice stuff for him after he dumped you in such a rude way.

I was thinking the same thing too
Don't mean to be harsh but this girl should take some responsiblity for what happen. Obviously he's sounds like a jerk, but who decided to date and put up with this jerk for a year? U might consider seeing a therapist cause these types of relationship usually repeat themselves.

actually that prick never cheated on me, he just lied to me after he broke up with me. in all honesty he did as much as he could to try and make it right but i dont tolerate being lied to ever.
i thought of the cheating thing cause my best friend told me last night how she found out her ex cheated on her right before behavior like this.

I did it in hopes that he would realize what a mistake he made in losing me... I did it so that maybe he would realize how good he had it, and how he fucked up. obviously it didn't work.
And the whole "other side of the story" thing, I'd give it to you if I had it. I didn't get an explanation...
Someone said I should stay away for a while, and I agree. The problem is actually doing that. Finding things that consume my time. There's only so much I can do on campus, and I'm doing it. Since I'm kind of a loner
I don't really have anyone I can rely on to take up time. I've got my roomate though, she just was in a bad relationship too.
I don't really want to think of it all as a mistake, because I try to go by with the thoughts of "no regrets" but its kind of hard.

I suppose I'm just a dumbass.

you need some time to heal. go out, meet new people, go dancing. you arent expected to feel good about this now. it'll be ok eventually. it wont be fixed but you will take a better direction with your life. if you can give so much you are entitled to someone who can treat you better.

Trance heals all!
Anyway, there's gotta be hangouts and coffee shops and stuff on or around campus... it's all about the hangin', and at the end of the week, drinkin'!

heh, also about the you saving me from this wretched weather and we go on a car ride blasting trance!
I just wish things turned out differently. I really did love him. Still do. It makes me sad to think that love really isn't all you need. I just wish I could know what happened.

Argh don't call it wretched! You don't know wretched until you've been to the great white north!!

We all have to get disillusioned sometime. Relationships are probably something that would come instinctively, if it wasn't for all the twisted crap that society teaches us when we're kids. But such as it is, the first ones rarely work out - you've gotta pay your dues, learn the ropes... most of all learn that love is not clearly defined and not limited to one person but unique from person to person... you love your mom and dad at the same time don't ya? So you'll find someone else that you can love, it'll be different next time around but still just as good or better.
And it should teach you something else too, that as you said, love isn't all you need. You've gotta have your own life and hobbies and your own group of close friends and be happy with all that on its own, because otherwise it genuinely feels like you've lost everything when you lose love. During my first relationship I was kind of a loner myself, and it made things so much harder, not knowing what to do when she was mad or wasn't around, turned me into a bit of a sap (long time ago though, fortunately). Seems like you made the same mistake. I tell the boys to have their own interests and not get whipped, but all the same things apply to the girls too.
And having said that, as much as I do
TranceAddict girls and would love to go cruising with the trance blasting, I am thousands of miles away and so are most of the other chillouters, you've gotta be talking about it with someone down there who can actually do something for ya.
But hey, we're all here if you need to vent... venting's the new rage on TA these days!

Nope. Just party it up with your roommate, make new friends, get away from the negativity...things will eventually work out, just don't dwell on the asshole any longer. He's not even worth that much.

If you think it's such a short distance, how about you make the trip?
Who knows, maybe I'll take a road trip one of these days, then I'll remember to stop by.
Cold weather's so depressing when you have to put up with 10 months of it at a time... yay, I get to see everybody wearing 19 layers of clothing; I'm a strong advocate of leaving something to the imagination, but that's just no fun! Not to mention walking into class looking like a snowman and having to wait 30 minutes before my hands melt enough to write and my jaw melts enough to talk! Hell, I'd take Florida over Ontario any day!
