Somewhere else on T.A. there's a post by Cor Fijneman
telling us that a CD-R of his was stolen while playing
a gig in Belgium. I don't approve of this but still
I can't wait till it's on the net.

There's just this little inside of me..

The power of this tune is not who did the remix, but it's the huge statement that the original got in music history.

Posted by umes23 on Jan-14-2004 21:58:

pffff. everything radiohead have touched after pablo honey has gone down in music history because of themselves and releases after street spirit in a much bigger and inventive way. radiohead draws no popularity from these poor dance remixes. the only thing semi-decent is josh wink's remix of everything in its right place.

tiesto's remix is barely ALRIGHT. the perfecto remix, whoever did it, is disgraceful both to radiohead and dance music alike.

As for this remix, I think it does no justice to the original. The stomping sledgehammer kick drums and those high-pitched synths have no subtlety whatsoever, and has generally very little to no regard for the original left, which is my main reason for disliking it.

I know your right, but there are countless mp3's floating around that say Oakenfold Remix ... and in fact several tracklists in the forum mislabled as well. So is the remixer known by another name then?

I got a monthly email from MixMag saying this was out on vinyl. White Label. Haven't seen it in any of the web shops though.

years ago i read in the mtv videotext that oakey remixed the track but... never played it because radiohead wanted him not to release or play ist. Probally he played the Wonky Remix because he was awared of the right-consequences of playing his own unauthorized remix. So I think he remixed the track but no one knows it...

Someone in the other thread on this topic claims 500 white label vinyls have been pressed.

Posted by noonboy on Jan-30-2004 11:03:

It's a shame.

The fact that I'm quite THE radiohead fan here kind of destroys my experience with remixes of them. I would never support such projects. As for a track, the remix might be just ok.

Sorry Tijs, but not this time.

Posted by bluastigma on Jan-31-2004 06:32:

I've heard about 3 remixes of the song that I could distinguish differences between. All of them were ripped from livesets to the best of my knowledge. I know the one was from Tiesto's DVD release party. I'd love to have it on vinyl but as far as I know, there's nothing...Awesome song though, huge radiohead fan, and Tiesto fan, and Oakenfold fan, so either way I'm pleased. Still be nice to know for sure what the deal is though...

Anyone heard anything more about the 500 vinyls that were meant to have been pressed? I want this now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
