Armin woud say that because he believes that pvd is putting out good shit and giving out great performances! Regardless of the what the montreal forum thinks, as we all know the montreal forum is biased towards harder music, your lack of support to trance doesn't surprise me. Thus leading me to believe that this forum is pretty closed minded , despite you guys telling us to be open minded about harder music!

we arnt being closed minded by trance we are being closed minded about paul van dyk. And dont you think we have good reason? Two bad performances and a sissy temper tantrum and sets with about 8 songs played twice (which just happen to be the ones hes trying to sell). And more than $120 spent... Dude i used to love paul van dyk. he was what got me into trance. I still listen to his old cds and his sets from back in the day. But im sorry to burst your bubble but his productions and performances have slipped to mediocrity. All of his new songs sound the same. Most people here still like tiesto ferry and especially armin. But the people who voted for PVD on this poll are probably the same people who voted for oakenfold.. its just a name they know

should be higher

how the fuck pvd could be number 2 hes productions are not that good

james holden imo is the forgotten one.....with his talent to make a tune sounds perfect he should be at least in the top 10 near sasha

like someone told before a big part of the vote is made by people who dont know shit and vote only for a name and thats why tiesto is in first place and pvd second

wtf paul oak is in the top 10
ive never heard one his name in any discusion
lolll

Nah the truly forgotten one is Thompson, some of you may be like who? ya the guy that co-wrote nothing with Holden! He got totally jipped off the whole deal

Posted by fastmp3 on Nov-01-2003 04:44:

sorry for being agressive but YOU GUYS ARE TOO STUPID TO REMEMBER THAT IT'S A DJ TOP 100 NOT A PRODUCER TOP 100 STOP SAYING HOLDEN DESERVES BEING IN THE TOP10 OR WHATEVER

Posted by alec on Nov-01-2003 04:50:

well, if he's not djing taha, why is he even in the top 100? So he must be a dj as well! and since we all know this is a combo of djing and producing why shouldn't he be!

dude relax. he's a pretty fucking good dj man or at least i think so. hes just as recognized for his mad progressive dj sets as he is for his productions. there are some producers you can make that arguement but not holden. he does deserve to be ALOT higher. doesnt he have a residency at godskitchen or some huge brittish club?

Posted by malek on Nov-02-2003 01:02:

holden is ok as dj... can drop some awesome tunes then drop a couple of bad ones... which slows down everything :/

Posted by KrinKer on Nov-02-2003 01:36:

humm

I don't wanna be rude or anything

but isn't there a conclusion we can all make with this top 100 ?

Prog is the biggest winner, it's not in the top 10 ... but hell from 10 to 100 about 75 % of the dj's are prog dj's

Say whatever u wanna say ... prog rules now, not saying that's it's the best music, but it's the most popular

AND

I'm going to quote someone from another board but

It's easy to understand why trance dj's are leading the way, the voters who likes trance all voted for the same dj's ( I.E. Armin + Tiesto + Pvd + Oakie + Ferry ) while Prog lovers spread their votes throughout numerous dj's and still a lot of those dj's made it througt the top 100, and it's the same thing for Techno dj's

I think it's true

My 2 cents

KrinKer

Posted by Sadmafioso on Nov-02-2003 16:57:

hey fast relax man....Holden's sets are great! In fact there are a lot better than alot of those djs in the top 10. I think he deserves higher

what did he do else than nothing? ( im talking about thompson )

Posted by Trancender on Nov-02-2003 18:51:

My Top Ten

1.Armin Van Buuren
2.Paul Van Dyk
3.Gabriel & Dresden |I don't care what anyone says they have been producing quality stuff and should have been higher|
4.Ferry Corsten
5.Tiesto
6.Robert Gitelman
7.James Holden
8.Mauro Picotto
9.Sasha
10.Preach

Posted by chrome on Nov-02-2003 21:50:

im surpried orkieda didnt make the top100, he's probably one of the most underated dj's out there

Posted by j@y on Nov-05-2003 04:44:

dsl fast moi je pensai que ca incluai la production

so if they are not making the top 100 by djiing and producing that would say that dj tiesto is the best technical dj in the world

LLLOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

in that case chris liebing should be at least in the top 10

and tiesto should not be in the top 100 at all

hes a nice guy but he his not that good at djiing

Posted by fastmp3 on Nov-05-2003 04:47:

c'est un concours de popularit auprs des internautes c'est tout

Posted by j@y on Nov-05-2003 22:52:

dret ca

Posted by SiM PeRf on Nov-06-2003 00:39:

I think Krinker's 2 cents says it all!
techno and prog should own this list...
anyways, that list sucks, there's no better way to make a list than seeing the djs...there's probably over 30% of votes that have been made by people who just HEARD the name of a dj and didnt even saw him or listen to his stuff.

Posted by Sadmafioso on Nov-06-2003 01:54:

pis jsais toujours pas quest-ce que Thompson fait...ALEC?

Posted by alec on Nov-06-2003 02:23:

Ya I've no clue, but had he capitalized like Holden he'd be up there! HOlden wouldn't have gotten his big break without this song!
