I voted for Fleming this year.. good to see he's moved up a bit.

Easily one the most underated djs around and deffinetly one of the top sets I saw this year. His intensity on the decks is amazing,,, looks like we can expect big things for him in '04 (his new productions are excellent)

i voted him to be #1!

i love his sets and his productions are maybe even better, most of them at least! and his record label releases very good stuff too! i think he's very underrated and i also think that people type his name wrong way too often! as it's John "00" Fleming, not Flemming ffs!

also gotta agree with freezel that misja helsloot is way too underrated too!

j00f is definatrely underesatimated.
Iwas listening one of his live perfomances over the net and I was amazed.
Pretty good job on the Mahadeva remix he did for Astral projection too!!

Totally underrated..
but the man has his loyal fan base no doubt. Esp here in melb. Was at one of his gigs earlier in the year where he played a 3 hour set and there was a sellout crowd! And he didnt dissapoint one bit either.. Bigup Jon!

Definitely Under-rated:

This man has been spinning and producing nothing but quality over the years, and I'm glad that he has been given a residency here in NYC at Arc. What makes him so special in my opinion is his ability to spin quality tunes, regardless of the sub-genre and who produced it. It seems like many of the dj's now seem to play a tune by a certain producer either bc they happen to be label partners or are mutually supported by the artist... Flemming dives into psy-trance, progressive, melodic, and techish beats at will...and has no musical boders....Have a listen to his Exposure Festival set from this year..

Now back to my nap....

His sets are 100 % cheese-free, he spins everything from quality prog to psy-trance. I just think that John '00' Fleming is underrated.

(and before the flame wars begin, let me just reiterate that this is my opinion first and foremost and not a testimony for exaltion of J00f)

once again, it is a popularity contest

I voted J00f as number 1 aswell. Its a pity he don't get very high, but still he's a wicked and most of all a highly respected DJ. I just like how he picks such dark & moody tunes and builds it up from there moving on to more epic stuff then onto more harder stuff, plus he enteracts with the crowd aswell and I like that.

I've seen him play about 12 times now and I've never seen him play a bad set at all. The last time I saw him play back in July at GKGG 2003, and he tore the fucking place down best set played there, he was one of the first DJs to play aswell but he created such an atmosphere, I think that set might of been broadcasted I'm not sure but if you see it get it!

I agree that Joof probably is the most underated DJ. His productions are superb, he plays awesome music and is a quality bloke!

after listening to trance for many years there are today very few DJs i really think still know the exact meaning of trance. John 00 Fleming is easily one of them. I never get dissapointed listening to his sets. Always the best track choice. No matter if its progressive, melodic or psytrance. He always seems to be up there bringing the best of everything.

J00F deserves the nr 1 spot. He is mr trance more than any Tiesto, Armin or other dutch anthem gays

definately, j00f deserves more attention/respect than he gets. his coloursfest set in ireland was insanely good. the tracks renaissance superman and back from hell absolutely make me go mental.

well to be honest i wouldn't say he is underrated, he just doesn't have the mainstream popularity as tiesto or armin or pvd. i don't think anybody would say he doesn't have the skills or anything, his style doesn't always fit the mainstream like the other popular djs. he does have a large and loyal fan base, and i don't think i've seen anyone get so energetic and involved with crowd while djing hehe i maybe a bit biased but he is a fucking champion
