I didn't go because I hate Glow and I am tired of Tiesto. Looks like I didn't miss much... LOL! Sandra Collins may have sucked, but hey at least Buzzkids are fun and without all the bullshit. I am no longer going to see big name Trance Dj's... Too much money, lacking in innovation, and somewhat arrogant.

What makes you think I wouldn't say the same about PvD? I MUCH prefer Tiesto over that guy.

The vocals on "Beautiful Things" are just kinda childish. No offense. Aside from that, there were a few more vocal ones. They weren't bad, just a bit catchier than the stuff I'm used to from Tiesto. And if you noticed, the BPM didn't start to pick up until about an hour into the whole thing.

I'm not putting the man down for playing anything remotely cheesy. I'm just saying there was a different feel to his set at the very beginning.

It wasn't a bad set overall, but the people and employees at Insomnia just made the experience pitiful. There were just WAY too many clueless douchebags walking around. Definitely not enough TA's.

I swear some of the people there didn't even know who was spinning or what Tiesto looked like. They were just there cause word got around that the #1 DJ was in town.

it was nice meeting everyone...my holland flag got raped by the glow crowd haha i could of sworn i had it up for a hot minute, next thing i know it was stretched out like a tent LOLS but its all good...i had tons of fun...i'll post more in a bit look for my edit =)

*edit* - ok where to start? the club itself, glow, wasnt what i expected since i had a great outlook of DC after attending sasha at nations for the buzzlife party a year ago...
the door - not too bad with security, although they did take some things away from me that i didnt expect...one being glowsticks - funny since it is called "glow" lols guess they just want to make the money from it.
the drinks are wayyyy to expensive and the club was extremely DIRTY! like extremely dirty lols.
but i must note that the bathrooms were damn nice...compared to the club itself that is.
the dj booth is fantastic except for the fact that the front area by the booth is like a can of sardines.

it was nice seeing szeric and vtec junkie and jonathon and his girlfriend. i didnt see many more people there but then again i was kinda sifting through the crowd. it was pretty damn crowded i must say.

ok so i give glow a 5 for being a club and a 7 for the atmosphere and a 5 for the crowd

tracks that surprised me were - beautiful things, born slippy, and sincere. definitely a different set compared to a new york set i enjoyed myself this weekend =)

not that it was particularly breathtaking, or spectacular IMO, but for me atleast, it was really nice to hear a lot of songs I have never heard before. Ofcourse, the many missing IDs in this tracklist could be due to the fact that I haven't gotten any new music in 2 months, but whatever. I liked his set.

I finally found a tiny corner of some piss/beer/puke soaked couch to squat on.5 seconds when this total DOUCHE sits down next to me, pulls me aside, and starts trying to get me to leave the couch
It went something like this:

fucking dumbass shit

I was thouroughly annoyed after that point. Im sick of all these slimy douchebags who think they are gods gift to the universe...the crowd was full of them last night

I had a similar experience in front of the DJ booth. As usual, it was packed tight and some Notorious BIG wannabe pushes his way through the crowd to get to the DJ booth to tell the bouncer to let some girls he was with up on stage. There was no room to move and he's up in my face telling me to move. I say, "where in the hell do you expect me to go?" (I'm leaning against this speaker box and there are people on every side of me.) I continue, "I can't move man, it's physically impossible." Well, after about a minute he tries to pick me up and place me somewhere but by that time figures out that there's nowhere to go so he continues pushing his way through the crowd. He comes back a couple of minutes later and I can hear him behind me talking shit.

Calling this guy a douche bag would only be an understatement. WTF are people thinking when they come out to Glow? Are they really that fucking insecure that they have to start so much shit? Maybe it was just a case of penis envy since this fat f#@k probably has to use a cosmetic mirror to even get a small glimpse of his. I dunno.

Otherwise, I thought that it was a great night! I got there earlier than usual and was privileged to hear Dan Sampson spin an amazing set... I thought that it was just as good (perhaps better) than Tiesto's!!! The Lexicon Avenue Remix of DM's "Only When I Lose Myself" was definitely a highlight for me!

Yeah thats very true, all these FUCKIN Douchbags in the bottom VIP room and all these idiots who come there to get drunk, do we really need people like that taking space.

I hope these DJ's start noticing Cubik @ Nations because I this can of sardiness is getting annoying and I swear I see the same drunk fools from the other nights I have been to Glow (PVD & J.Gielen)

Thats why armin and ferry are beast. They stay after and talk with the fans for a while. So down to earth. Tiesto and PvD on the other hand...

It's about time someone mentioned him. If you havent figured it out yet, Dan rules. Much respect.

As for the rest of the night...extremely crowded and too many a**holes. On a positive note, Tiesto threw it down hard. Everyone that mistook hard trance for cheese...maybe you need to broaden your musical spectrum a little. Everyone that said his set was different for the last time you heard him...maybe you should put Magik 7 in your cd player and set it on repeat and then you'll be happy. I'm tired of all the Tiesto haters. If you knew anything about him as a DJ then you would know that his sets are constantly different unless he's on some kind of cd tour or something. His fall and winter sets are usually complete opposites of his spring and summer ones. Instead of criticizing him maybe you should try respecting his ability to be different once in a while.

I absolutely loved his set. Full of energy, bangin, and totally unexpected. Hearing Accessive Rhythm - Activate totally made my night. Let's not forget that he was voted (by millions of people) as the #1 DJ of the Year and not one night at Glow. If saturday night was an indication of where his sets are gonna be goin throughout the winter, then i can't wait to hear more.

As for all the noobs...let's not forget that we were all noobs once. I chatted with some guy at the bar who was there for the first time. He saw Tiesto a few days ago in Houston and flew to DC just to see him again. That's pretty damn cool and he had only good things to say about the place.

I was there with my best friend and clubbing partner Brian (vtecjunkie) and I met a lot of TAs but I forgot names already. I do remember kid nyce, politicsofdancin, srezic, and beema. The guy who has a pic of me and all his crew on his desktop, good meeting you and all your people again. Send me a PM. Jose, Cheyanne, Amy, Joanna, Jeanette, and all the heads at the hotel...i had a blast and it wouldn't have been the same without you guys. Unfortunately I probably won't be able to make it for AvB but hopefully this time it will be sooner than 6 months. Peace.

LMFAO!!!! thats funny, but not because he's such a douchebag. Damn dude, why do all the fuckheads come to Glow thinking they're the best thing since sliced bread?

We better not have that kind of crowd during Armin

Dan's set was probably one of the best I've heard in a while. I felt horrible when the crowd began chanting "Ti-esto, Ti-esto, Ti-esto!" At that point I was almost hoping that Tiesto would to be late.

No clue. It's crazy though. It's not enough to ruin it for me though as I become so absorbed in the music that the dickheads are only a mild distraction. It does suck though when they try to push you out of the way.

The dude that pulled that shit even went up to the bouncer on stage and pointed at me like I was some kind of troublemaker for not being able to disappear like David Copperfield. I just laughed at his simplicity. Like oooh, he knows a bouncer so now I should just bow down to him for being so cool. LOL. What a schmuck.

what about Nathan Lake - Outhouse as track 3 - he's been putting that in the first few tunes for the past fortnight.

you can get a soundfile search at htfr.com for nathan lake

Yeah man people need to let Dan do his job, his set was so freakin sick. Some goobert waho was next to me was getting mad that Tiesto was still not there and it was only 12:30. That guy should have not came early. Anyways Mad Respect to Dan Sampson for putting an Awesome opening show.

Umm, I'm sure if were up the djs, they'd be spinning at Nation, not Nations. But its the promoter who books them, so you can't really fault Panorama for that. Just ask buzz why they don't know good trance, (and probably never will) and would rather continue to bring in shitty dnb & breaks djs.

A couple of years ago (upstairs at the old Glow @ Zei Club) D:Fuse told my friend and me that Nation was his favorite club to spin.

Hello!

Yo DanceFever was happening, you where right about DJ Tiesto spinning differet tracks and upcoming projects on the Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer. Which I really don't mind since his track selection is so vicious. Well later playa lol

HAHA~ dont worry about it man...im used to it since i try to dwell in the front area...as for the holland flag getting signed? it is signed already by tiesto, corsten, armin, and kid vicious...all i need now is marco and it should be set. i found it kind of funny that the guys on the stage didnt want to give me back my flag...although i do think that he was thinking that i wanted it signed and signed right now but i told one of them that it was signed already...i'd love it if he would hang it behind him or drape it over the booth so he can be proud of where he is from...anyways it was a pretty good night but yea you are right...it was PACKED...

Dans cool as hell and you could tell he didnt mind everybody chanting Tiesto.....Hell pretty much the whole time Dan was on ....everybody up front was supporting Dan. After everybody was done chanting Tiesto....i yelled back to dan "Dan..we love you dude" and he pointed back and and said the same to eveybody. Dan is one of the best resident DJ's ive ever seen.

Wrong.....Tiesto deff dropped Ton T.B. - Electro Malfuntion. I think it was the right before Airwave. Also he played Andy Hunter - Go at the begining of his set within the first hour and not 26 tracks into his set. I think he played AVB - Slipstream after Dirty Sticky Floors cause thats when i was in the back right by you Beema.
He also played Naked Angel half way threw his set.
