Looks shite, although there are some decent tracks hidden amongst the cheese... but how can they call it 'trance classics'?

Posted by Shoes on Nov-07-2003 13:44:

There's loads of good stuff in it.

And Sonique.

Posted by sykadelik on Nov-07-2003 14:33:

Its all about Euphoria white labels, the rest are like upmarket MOS albums. They jes seem to be a mixture of relatively new choons with pure cheese

Posted by Pio on Nov-07-2003 23:45:

what a load of shit! matt darey has gone to hell. isn't he Az's favorite dj?

just to name a few:
quote:
07: DJ TISTO FEAT. SUZANNE PALMER 643 (Love's On Fire)
09. JURGEN VRIES The Opera Song [ORIGINAL EXTENDED MIX]
12. ARMIN VAN BUUREN Yet Another Day [HIVER & HAMMER MIX]
04. SONIQUE I'm Alive [TOMCRAFT MIX]
05. BENNY BENASSI Satisfaction [ORIGINAL MIX]
18. PAUL VAN DYK FEAT HEMSTOCK & JENNINGS Nothing But You
[PVD CLUB MIX]

erm, it's shameful. There's no way you could defend having those tracks in the same fucking compilation. 643 Love's on fire? NBY? Yet another gay? Satisfaction? The original Opera Song? Sonique??? It's all about the BLING BLING baby. Then this people accuse Tiesto and PvD of being in it for the money, but not even their worst compilation is remotely as bad as this is. Matt Darey, GOD? Only if God were a total tool.

Actually, if I remember rightly, the last (decent) Euphoria album was 'Extreme Euphoria Vol III - Mixed By Lisa Lashes'.

Now that's class!!

WHAT THE HELL!!

Considering this was only released a couple of days ago, you seem to judge and execute a compilation before you have listened to it! Now maybe you have had a listen and everyone has there own opinion, but to suggest Matt Darey 'go to hell' is a tad stronge indeed.
Euphoria along with Matt Darey have a large following in the UK, and to be basically slaughtered like this beggars belief!
Most of the remixes are new and fresh and exclusive to Euphoria, so the chances of them heard before are remarlably slim.
The idea of the original post was not to 'big up' the compilation but was to let you know that there was one available!!

Trance music is generally an uplifting experience!! After this onslaught it makes me wonder what the hell has happened!

Nuff Sed!

Are you part of the Euphoria team by any chance?

You've got to appreciate that most of the people on here are very hardcore about the music, many often having fierce arguments about "how dare you listen to cheese" and "that doesn't exactly fit into my perception of this style".

Personally I don't really like it, I've been annoyed at Euphoria for failing to deliver a proper compilation this year and instead only releasing specialist ones (i.e Extreme). To bring out an album that seems obviously designed to grab a lot of money by having lots of (quite old) pop trance tunes and yet another "classic" CD (appallingly straight after Very Best of Euphoria) cannot be called delivering what the fans want, cos most of us don't want this shit, we want what Euphoria does best.

Euphoria UK is right, the idea was just to let you know that the cd was out. Then again, I have not received it to review, so I dunno . Then again, I kinda only posted it cuz it was my first ivibes review. I still hope to review is shortly and give you the honest tta review.

Hi,
I dont work for Euphoria, to be honest i am a designer in the steel fabrication industry (yawn yawn). Anyhow i am good friends with Adam and the Euphoria Team.
Apparently this was quite difficult to put together as there was not enough banging trance tunes out there to compile something unique and fresh. Hence the long wait between the Euphoria mainstream trance compilations. Adam and the rest have worked very hard on this compilation and fare enough, a lot of you out there may or may not like it. I for one personnaly dont like the TRanceNation or MoS compilations, but do like this triple collection. Its not a loyalty thing....its just that more thought has gone into Euphoria productions.
This is not PR by a long shot. There have been certain Euphoria compilations in the past that are not to my taste so i can understand where you are coming from, i dont have to agree though!
What would you have thought if the likes of PvD or Ferry Corsten had mixed the same tracks???? Maybe then you would have given it a better chance. What did you think of Matt Darey's Pure album? In mine and many other people opinion, this was basically a work of art! Then you have certain people on this forum slagging Matt off for his latest creation. Putting the fact that you may not like the tracklistings to one side..... the comment about Matt going to hell is pretty insulting and well below the belt!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all give it a chance either listening to a friends copy or better still, buy it!! And then write your opinions!

Posted by waXology on Nov-13-2003 11:35:

is this out?

was with matt darey on sat night at nova and we gave away his "master copy" and said there is only 2 copies in the world, his and some other manager guy..... mind you this was last sat so i dunno it could have been pressed and released by now

Hi,

The album was offically released a couple of days ago (10th Nov)
There is a launch party this Saturday at a club in London called SE1. Matt/Adam and Anthony Dean will be doing sets on this night. There is a limted amount of tickets available so really it is a party more so than a huge gathering of Trance maniacs. I will be there along with others. Actually i was having a chat with Adam this morning and he told me ages ago that he does the odd mix for Nova. As at the time myself and family was thinking of moving to Oz!

Why does mixes for Nova have to be odd

Posted by EUPHORIA UK on Nov-13-2003 12:54:

Waxology!

There is a huge vibe regarding this party, and i am sure one of us will post a couple of select pickies!
All the big-wigs from Eupho will be there along with many of the team from past and present.
Actually it was my suggestion a couple of weeks ago to throw some kind of a gathering. Initial response was a tad negative but they have managed to find a top venue and pulled it off!!!
Will let you know how it went!!

Lee

haven't picked it up yet. have not seen it around here.

Posted by euphoricgirl on Jan-11-2004 15:38:

Rasta

I'm a big fan of Matt but the last 2 cd's he did were horrible in my opinion. This 3cd set has some classics but there are a lot of horrible songs on it also.

Posted by T_2199 on Jan-11-2004 19:10:

Bullshit

should review the thing within the week anyway but what do you think about it? comments?

Yes CD 2 looks sad I know.

cd2 looks sad? what about cd1! thats even worse! The only decent one is Disc 3, wtf was Darey thinking...not to mention, how could any of those tracks on the first disc be considered "classic" trance

Posted by ga11agher on Jan-12-2004 03:52:

some nice tunes - some not so nice tunes - it's a shame that these tracks spoil what would be otherwise a worthy addition to anyones cd collection.
