-- Worst serial killer on record to go free....

Go free, I doubt that

From the law perspective...he would not give up 6 murders that he had never been tied to. Saves the state millions but I do agree, a scumbag like him should be put away by death. Then again, the prison is not the nicest place for that man because remember what happened to jeffrey dahmer....same thing will happen to him. Then again, he could be found committing another murder (not in the original plea of 48) and still be taken to court over that and put to death.

maybe they should just stick his penis is a metal pipe and heat it with a blow torch until it melts away... and then give him no pain killers

exactly, why let him of the easy way, death would be a relief from his upcomming daily terrors

btw, do you know on how many of those counts of 48 murders he's going to prison for, if each one if 25 to life, and he has to serve all of them separately, that's 1200 years in prison, i dought he'll get out :P

48 counts of murder, he confessed to them all. He has 48 consecutive life sentences.

yeah with public torture the world would be a much better place :rolleyes

about this "such a brutal beast needs to be killed" thing:
where do you draw the line? When does someone need to be killed? How about if he had only killed 47 women? Still death? 46? 45? ... 1? 0?

in all honesty, the death penatly does not solve any problems.

ps.: Eye for an Eye is old testament, i.e. OLD, no longer really relevant for christians. At this point we are supposed to live by the "do to your neighbor as you want done upon yourself" (or however it goes in english)... which in it self rules out the death penalty.

Posted by Fast Turtle on Nov-05-2003 20:58:

An eye for an eye has its place sometimes, I believe.

Not all of them, though.

What do you get for watching him die? The same kind of satisfaction he got when he strangled those prostitutes? He's going to be in prison forever after this, and he will never leave. He will likely never kill another human. Why does he need to die?

Of course it would! But at the very least, it would make the world a more entertaining place. Well ... at the VERY least it would be more entertaining for me. And that's all that matters right? ME ME ME ME ME!

Posted by torontotrance on Nov-05-2003 22:15:

I'd argue the whole death penalty and the bible issue..but that's a whole thread...for another day

anyway...sure he pleads guilty and gets 48 life sentences but he committed 2 murders in oregon which has the death penalty and they are not sure whether that state will seek the death penalty against him. Plus federal charges could be sought..who knows..he is as good as dead in jail.

Posted by Boomer187 on Nov-05-2003 22:41:

damn, I have a sheet with a ton of serial killers from different countries and if you judge which one is worst by pure numbers there is one (if I remember correctly) from russia who is connected with over 500....but it could also be a south american country...DAMN. but there is a guy who is pinned with 500 murders.

this guy actually has a lot with 48 and sounds like a pure sociopath, with no feelings or remorse at all. For this reason I would say leave him in prison and make a case study out of him. Serial killers are so rare but deadly it is worth it to study each one and not quickly kill them off.

also as a side note, there is no treatment that works on serial killers and pedophiles. So curing them of this "disease" is ridiculous.

i say skin the fuck alive and then let him live in prison with the daily floggings/tourtures to see how long he lasts. I live not too far from where all this happened and it could have easily been one of my friends or family that he could kidnapped and killed. Our judicial system needs to be way more ruthless to people like this.

IT COST money to imprison him. we shouldn't spend money on worthless people.

"I say we kill him"......"YEAHHH"

"I say we hang 'em, then we kill him"....."YEAHHH"

"I say we stomp him, then we tattoo him, then we hang him, then we kill him"......"YEAH"

"I say we let him go..."...."NNNOOOOOOO"

Occ, ur witty and smart posts never cease to entertain me.

If u havent notice there is an unwritten rule in the USA legal system...
NEVER ADMIT YOU'RE GUILTY, NO MATTER HOW MUCH EVIDENCE IS AGAINST YOU
For example look at the DC snipers caught red handed and they plea not guilty
Its actually refreshing to see someone actually fess up.

Oh ya those who think u should never plea bargain to obtain some sort of conviction. I've got one word for you...

OJ

ive always seen the "eye for an eye vs turn the cheek" controversey as eye for an eye, but you as a citizen turn your cheek and let the system take their eye.

Posted by MERTON on Nov-06-2003 01:02:

i think they shold break his arms and legs every month.. just smash them with a hammer a few times.. that way they never heal.. and they can do a study on it too... just to see what happens with that kinda constent injury.. they would of course give hime no drugs.. and he could stay at home cus he couldn't move

i dont see life in prison for this dude to be such a bad thing. sure he killed 48 women and thats FUCKED UP. but he will be in prison for the rest of his life (just as long as its life not like 25 years as sometimes 'life' means), getting the shit beaten out of him by inmates, guards and whoeva. trust me, inmates LOVE people like him to fuck up, they hate rapists, pedophiles (sp?) and all women abusers. some how i dont think he'll have a lot of friends in prison. it'll be basically a torture sentence for him, sounds a bit better than death. after all the way they kill people now is painless. if he dies in prison, it will be very very painful.

Posted by djSlain on Nov-06-2003 01:22:

first off, my opinion is that the guy SHOULD be executed. Our taxes for their luxury rits prisons? no way. Like someone else said, i'd rather tha money go to new schools or whatever.
However, there needs to be a balance of saving our tax dollars to the treatment someone as sick as this will endure.
out of the 48 women who got sliced, were they given sedatives to make the life fade away into sleep? no. pain, agony and torture. yet, we give the harshest of criminals a peaceful death where they fall asleep before they are even killed.
and the other side of the table is years of prison time without escape and the experiences people face in prison from constant violence to high sexual tension.
kill this person peacefully for better tax uses or let this man spend of the rest of his life confined to bricks and bars?

o ya, and i also think that prisons are ridiculous that homeless people are worser off than inmates

Posted by UWM on Nov-06-2003 01:38:

I think he should be kept in solitary confinement (Think Shawshank Redemption) for the duration of his sentence and be fed maggots and urine. The torture this man will go through after years of this will be infinitely worse than the release he will get from being killed.

He should be forced to deal with his horrific mental state for as long as his body will let him, until it eats at him to a point where he takes his own life.

so if you really feel that way then you must think it was ok that jesus was crucifed because he was put to death by the system instead of by a citizen?

I'm a surprised all Christians arent against the death penality, considering Jesus was wrongly accused and sentenced to death, just imagine how much good he could of done if he got life and was able to over turn his conviction on apeal.

God works in mysterious ways my son. If Jesus hadnt been put to death how could he have been resurrected?
