yes if u actually read my first post i said "i only regard a few as hard trance" i thought u would have noticed the fact it was purely my opinon n nothing else from the start, obviously not.

also what about lab 4? i have a vinyl sleeve as my avatar? i only like 2 of their songs (candyman/requiem) and if u do "know your hard trance" and still think those tracks are shit, then i seriously doubt ur taste in music hard trance, im not defending their other tracks cos yes, their shit but the aforemented aren't to me, that is, just incase you decide to bring lab4 up again for no other reason than a vinyl sleeve on my avatar, lol.

I knew once I saw the title and length of this thread, that 90% of the replies would be hard-trance fans bitching about how some of the songs aren't REALLY hard trance.....

Hehehe, TA's are too predictable

If you ask me, i would not buy this Compliation. Reason for being: This tracks are rather old and mostly are not related to the word HARDTRANCE and i think i have all of the "hardtrance" in there in my vinyl collection.

I would prefer if ya put tracks like
1: Rank 1 - Sympsonic (DJ Jam X & DEleon's Dumonde Remix)
2: Hennes & Cold - Can't Have Enough
3: Lisa Lashes - What Can You Do For Me (Colin Barrett Remix)
4: Yoji Biomehanika - Hardstyle Disco (Trance Generators Remix
5: The Gladheads - Bassfucka <---ok not really hardtrance but its produce by Hard-Hard-Trance artist Warmduscher

Candyman is a tuneless, unoriginal generic pile of shit. And if you do know hard trance better than me, why the hell don't you count the Organ Donars track, which is much more of a hard trance track than those you pointed out as being hard trance. Unless you've not heard it...

Rasta

no offence system-J however ur title of this thread is 'My perfect Hard Trance compilation'. Perfect means flawless, unbeatable. puttin g this into context this compilation should be alsolutly FUCKIN BANGIN. Ne one who puts Jurgen Vries, Barthezz or ferry corstens punk in a perfect hard trance album is definately my version of perfect.NOT. A trance album yes. cafe del mar/ binary finary are trance classics not hard trance classics.

Chuck in sum BK, Guyver, James lawson and Super ninja Yoji and were beginning to get somewhere. Oh Yeah Lab 4 aint shit

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Nov-07-2003 16:55:

BK is hard house, and all that stuff you mention is unoriginal crap. On every compilation with stuff like that on I have, every track seems to have been thrown togethor in ten minutes with only a slight change in the (pointless anyway) vocals and a new ending to the same old hook. This stuff may be borderline hard trance, but at least its varied and actually interesting to listen to.

I can't be doing with these "extreme" tracks. All the sped-up voices, screaming idiots and annoying effects just remind me of the crudest of the old hardcore scene. True there are occasional gems, but for the most part its dross.

Posted by xls on Nov-07-2003 18:31:

It wouldn't be a *perfect* hard trance album unless it had some of this on it.

Candyman is hard house, even my 13yr old cousin can recognize the tune/melody in it, but by the looks of the other tracks u put in ur compilation i can see it would be too hard for your tastes anyway. I've heard the Organ Donors track but not that particular mix, so i couldnt comment on it really, wasnt there Hard mix/Trance mix or something?

Also Lawson & BK are hard house, obviously too hard for your tastes, Yoji...erm im not that into him n Guyver is fluffed up (lately) hard trance, used to be good but hes goin downhill alot lately i must admit.

Posted by DJ Freestyle on Nov-07-2003 22:58:

Many of those aren't hard trance. So it's not perfect.

I've got Candyman on Extreme Euphoria Vol 3 and its the worst track on there. It really hardly has any tune, and any producer could have thrown it togethor in ten minutes, considering it was one basic melody, some crap synths and an incredibly boring beat. Its not even very hard or intense.

For the record, I'm a big fan of BK and I've enjoyed almost all his tunes. I do listen to a lot of hard stuff, a lot harder than any generic Lab 4/Ilogik/any of that crap.

Posted by Ozzie on Nov-08-2003 17:38:

please come back when you know what hard trance is, i'v seen your top 10 hard trance and they were quite frankly, funny as fuck. so you cant seriously expect 2 know what hard house or hard trance is when you think a gouryella remix is hard trance? haha!

how many BK tunes have u heard exactly? 5 for 6? your only a kid so i dont expect it to be many. Lab 4's latest tunes are far better than their older ones (which iv not heard many of) so call them shit all you like, but candyman(guyver rmx)/reqiuem are hard trance, if u dont think they are then you really do have no clue at all, which iv already noticed anyway so. If u really did have any idea then there would have been alot more UK Hard Trance in your compilation.

Don't expect me to take you seriously when you haven't got the faintest idea of what hard trance is, or even hard house for that matter.

1. Well the fact that I've heard several major trance producers refer to it as hard trance, but of course, you know better than the ******s who make and spin the stuff don't ya?

2. At least 15-20, if you count his many collaborations.

quote:
Hard-Trance really has 3 sub-sections that you can split it down into, a more uplifting one, and a really Hard as Nails one, almost gabber in some elements, and a commercial one.

quote:
First of all, I'll take the more uplifting style. The emphasis here is on the tune as well as a catchy bassline and a hard beat. The tune will be really soft and melodic as a rule, and the whole song will be like a full set. Take a heavy beat and add a driving bassline, then progress into an array of beautiful sounds, before ending harder again. Some of the best artists in this particular brand are Jam-x & De Leon aka DuMonde, Cosmic Gate, DJ Natron & DJ Reverb, better known as Flutlicht, SHOKK, Schwarzen Puppen and DJ Scot Project

quote:
Lastly comes the really Hard Trance, This will be less melodic and a combination of sounds and beats and bass as a rule, or if it has a main melody, this will also be really hard sounding. Some people cannot appreciate this style of trance, but an Artist like Derb are very good at it, They take deep heavy fat beats, add a pulsating bassline to it and some elements from gabber hardcore at times. The emphasis is on blowing the minds of the people listening, not giving a sweet little tune to sing along to, There may be voiceovers used in tunes, but the presence of female vocals is usually low to nil. This music is very effective in the way it is done.

You see if you weren't so blatantly short-sighted, you would have realised there were many varieties of hard trance, and I've tried to cover the whole spectrum. The quotes are from the writer of a major dance website, so go argue with him.

Oh yeah and for the record, I've heard over half of what you just posted. So don't patronise me about not knowing what the fuck I'm talking about, just because my opinion is different to yours.

1. So if a trance producer thinks its hard trance its hard trance? what the hell would a trance dj know about HARD trance? if your telling me big name DJ's are calling Gouryella hard trance then they really dont have a clue, anybody on this forum can tell u their not hard trance, if u want 2 think they are then believe what u want, i aint gota problem with that however wrong and foolish you are

2. That all? he has a hell of alot more than that, try discogs or something for a full list, almost 100 to his name.

And no, im not short sighted, your the one who has trance tracks in his hard trance album, you are the one whos short sighted boy and cant tell trance (too many to mention from ur album and top 10) from Hard Trance.

If you'd posted a theoritcal compiliation of purely hard trance itd look better, but u didnt, half was hardstyle n trance which erm....isnt hard trance really is it?? so no mate, u dont know what the fuck your talking about, not when u believe fairy trance is hard trance, but thats not ur fault, thats the DJ's that know absolutely everything about a style they dont usually spin making u believe that isnt it? lol. Your opinion isnt completely different, its partly wrong, quite a few of the tunes u posted arent hard trance, some of your top 10 hard trance which u posted not so long ago wasnt hard trance either, so whos really short sighted pal?

Oh I don't know, perhaps the ones in the great obvious quotes. Like he said, there's more than one aspect to hard trance, something which seems to upset you a lot.

I did answer that before but must have edited it out, the quotes said 3 sections? i only see 2 sections there?

Their not even relevent anyway, i know quite well theres more than one aspect to hard trance i've been listening to it for long enough, maybe you should read it yourself? seeing as ur still learning about hard trance and think trance DJ's are always right about something they play once a blue moon yeah?

From the beginning i said it was hard trance to me, just compare Jetlag, O, Locked Tight or Firewire to PvD Rmx, The Drill or Urban Train for example, the first 4 are far harder than the rest. Thats how i see it, it might be labelled as hard trance but if its soft as a sponge compared to the rest then i dont see it as HT, get me now? I dont give a flying fuck if you follow what everybody says like a sheep, believe what you will, u still have no idea about hard trance going by what i've read off you so far and as most people keep saying, most of your album isnt even hard trance, boy.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Nov-09-2003 12:46:

What's your problem? This is a forum, and its where people discuss opposing views. My views of what hard trance is are different to yours, so we discuss it. What you are doing is going off on one every time you reply. You seem to ignore the fact that no opinion is wrong, and decide that my opinion is wrong just because it doesn't coincide with yours.

Anyway, you've contradicted yourself by:

1. Saying Firewire is hard trance.
2. Then saying Cosmic Gate aren't hard trance.
3. Finally comparing Firewire to Cosmic Gate remixes.

And on a closing note, about half of this forum are under 18.

Posted by Ozzie on Nov-09-2003 14:30:

Actually no, i didnt contradict myself. I meant the new cosmic gate style isnt hard trance, the only track they did which was like it was Firewire/Hardcore/Back To Earth, since then their productions have been nothing like then and not hard trancey at all.

Your opinion might be different yes, but its also wrong, i dont care how igorant you think i am, because everybody else can see (and has said so in this topic) that half the stuff you think is HT, isn't. You think PvD & Gouryella are hard trance for chrissake, lol.

End of discussion.
