This tune is a disgrace.

Surely anybody who knows fictivision or c-quence should contact them so the appropriate action can be taken, unless of course, they gave scooter permission to use their melody.

Why should scooter make money of someone else's work?

Posted by Zayatz on Nov-06-2003 22:08:

brilliant clubby almost deep trance/ female vocal. No HP voice version

haha, too bad there is no HP verison

Posted by whiskers on Nov-06-2003 22:12:

must i mention that EDM is recyclable???

so if there's any similarity in tunes (not talking about scooter, they're a ripoff), it might be due to sampling???

huh?
huh?

I hate it when people come and say: Hey listen he plays a strange trance remix of that new scooter tune !! I could kill those ppls..

I haven't said that, the point is why give Scooter so much attention? If C-Quence and Fictivision is having problems with Scooter stealing their music they can take legal action. There's no need to make a big deal about it in this forum. We all know Scooter are cheap, commercial crap anyways, no need for shouting it out loud another time. Give Scooter a rest and their music will rot in hell were it belongs.

Listening to it now - I'm pretty sure he ripped off a couple of other tracks beside Symbols. I heard them before, but just can't ID at the moment...

EDIT: OK, here's one: Mac Zimms - L'annonce des Couleurs

We all know Scooter rips off tunes, get over it.

i spent 2 hours of my life on research and solving complex multivariable physics matrix equations and i have come up with a secret link which is a fundamental basis of scoooter's latest work:

WHAT?? when did Saltwater steal anything at all. Your even saying it sounds similar to Magic Impuls, you sir don't know shit.

What about Locust - Valley Of Love, similar to Push - Strange World...boo hoo

Usually scooter pays the rights to the synths and melodies they "rip off" not sure what the case is behind this one but all i know is i have only heard a sample of one scooter song when they attempted to redo 7 cities, i did not like it, thus i do not listen to scooter, scooter has a right to do what they want same as anyone else, and they have a loyal fan basin whom they have continued to produce a same style of music for, It is quite simple, if you dont like it, dont listen to it, why waste so much time on the subject?

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Nov-07-2003 11:23:

yes scooter does rip off alot.. i wonder what other producers think about it? but stil none the less jay frog has done some good productions as well and i dont mind some of scooters songs.. they are quite catchy sometimes but they should be more innovative

i guess i shouldnt even mention the thread i started

ah fuck it :

Uhh... when they "sampled" Strange World MIKE had no idea that they'd done it until someone told them. And as far as I know neither Fictivision or C-quence had any idea either.

Uh... that was a joke... a pretty obvious one too

Anyone is free to do whatever they wish, as long as they don't exploit other peoples work. I don't really mind Scooter (some of the tunes are quite catchy if you're drunk ) but the way they use other peoples work is unacceptable.

Posted by nekholm on Nov-07-2003 16:22:

Just a thought: Why don't you contact the creators of all songs that Scooter have ripped off and ask them if they have permission to do it instead of crying your asses off here on TA?

Posted by Cream21 on Nov-07-2003 16:42:

I also don't get it why people get so pissed off! Scooter are not that stupid. If they user other peoples work they asked permission in front or if not, then they changed it much enough (maybe not for the listener but for the law) that they don't have to pay royalties.

So legal work and it sells good. I always ask myself, why is then Scooter selling with a stolen part more records then the original arstis even if there is this horror vocals from HP over it!?

Posted by BvW on Nov-07-2003 17:46:

Joris (c-quence) and I (fictivision) are aware of this. They did not ask our permission for this. Appropriate action is being taken by our publishers, and I'm pretty sure we can work things out with scooter.

nice one, hope you get what you deserve from them, and that they stop nicking other peoples tunes, any help needed with publicity, let me know

ian (ivibes.nu webmaster/head editor)

Posted by BvW on Nov-07-2003 18:28:

Thanks Ian, but we think these guys are reasonable, and there's no need to make a big deal out of this in publicity.

Posted by Cream21 on Nov-07-2003 18:37:

Actually the Scooter songs reminds me on Symbols, but they also changed the chords really much, so think there is nothing to get from them. They did not make this for the first time, they know what they can do and what not so think they checked befor how far they can go to have it running as their own song.

But let's see

Edit: Ok, its not Saltwater, its Alphazone with their remix for Saltwater's The Legacy which I find it quite similar to Magic Impulse.
There is no much difference (not talking about the tracks)from my point of view.
I'm trying to say that major Trance artist has done the same as Scooter did "taking other artists samples to use in their own track" but nobody gives a shit!

Read my other comments in this thread, and you'll see I hnav't say anything about "the better of Scooter using other track's sample or not" - not that it bother any of you, whats all along I came against is your reactons guys.

Rest my case.

JIGGA MY NIGGA, SMOKE A CIGGA, WATCH OUT FOR THE GOLD DIGGA, IN THE CLUB MY NIGGA.. PAINT A COW, CATCH A FISH, PUT SOME 20'S ON AN ICE CREAM VAN, THEN YOU GONNA UNDASTAN?!?!

Lol, I haven't heard the track.. but is Scooter becoming gangsta' now? They got signed to Rockafella? I think Jay-Z is gonna be pissed.

Posted by Icesotope on Nov-08-2003 00:20:

I can't believe why is scooter going around stealing people's production, I really like his old hits "Eye Shot The Deejay" and "Posse I need you on the floor" I Would really hope they shld stop this undesirable act. I think they should go solo back

I think i heard this track some elements were related to Mac Zimms - Lannonce Des Couleurs [The Mystery Remix] and its a damn 75% sure its a rip off from Fictivision Vs. C-Quence - Symbols
