heh .. raving in the state library, that would've been a sight

It would be a good place for a rave but how much better would a train station rave be. Somewhere like Kogarah station (an open air one) if you stopped the trains and had a dance floor on the tracks and on the platform it would rock

Clearly you've never been to Parramatta or Liverpool stations on a Saturday night

I think Fresh Hour has kind of been voted in as the name for the up and coming hour because of course the night as a whole is pretty up and coming

Posted by Sid on Nov-27-2003 04:48:

yeah I think the area is riddled with family wars these days, rather than racial conflicts ! but good old Bankstown never seems to amaze me !lol

Well ladies and gents as it's less than a week away i thought i'd give the thread a bit of a bump

Posted by webmeister on Dec-08-2003 00:13:

Looking forward to this, should be a good night

Hopefully it won't close early!

Posted by Joshva on Dec-08-2003 00:22:

No it will definately not close early . Icebox is under contract to keep the club open till at least 6am. It really sucks the Trance community seems to be constantly being chucked out of venues (Saturday was definately not the first time it has happened) . It's time for that to stop. On Friday we will be partying well into the morning of the next day

looking forward to this! so cheap too!
good news that it wont shut early!
quick question--> does anyone know any good areas to park in kings cross, (besides the parking stations) last visit was an expensive $152 park
any good streets that arent usually all piled up?

Posted by Joshva on Dec-08-2003 05:01:

I know you said no parking stations but their is an excellent one in the cross. That has really cheap all night parking. My friend and I park their regularly. I'll get the name of it and cost and post back.

Ahhh thats great news Josh! I'm glad everyone will finally have a chance to play.

Rach: there ain't really any parking I know of (unless you get there early) besides the parking stations. You might be lucky to get parking down the side lanes but its usually packed pretty early.

Josh: Are you talkin about the secure parking next to the police station?

You could just walk along William St from the City and say hi to all the Asian tranny hookers that hang out there

But uhh, we'll save that story for another time

Posted by Joshva on Dec-08-2003 05:43:

Yeh i think it is that one. It is across the road from the fountain at the cross by across the road i don't mean city side it is like eastern suburbs side. But it is a short walk to Icebox

umm im tryin to get off work this saturday if i can sure to see u guyz there, if not sure to chuck a tantrum and get fired so i can go nyway

I parked in the multistorey carpark next to the backpackers hostel a couple of weeks ago - seemed pretty reasonable to me...

To get there, turn left off William St, then right onto Bayswater Rd. Go past the nightclubs, then turn left at the first lights. Follow this for a couple of hundred metres, and the entrance to the carpark is a ramp going down on the left.

There should be big signs up pointing you in the right direction

It cost me $13 for 4-6 hours I think, more than that was the $22 max rate overnight or something...

Yeah thats the one i'm thinking of. I parked there once ages ago and it was pretty cheap but didn't think it was open 24hrs. I might give that a go cause the one i parked at last time was heaps expensive
