haha, now, the progheads are whining about noobs coming into prog? well, they deserve that, the elitists ones, who bash all the other genres, especially trance

Posted by Blake613 on Nov-14-2003 01:12:

I would like to see one done in Chicago, NYC or Los Angeles.

Gah erhm techno?

Have you been watching too much MTV?

Posted by torontotrance on Nov-14-2003 01:35:

gu007 was trance, drumnbass and house.

Posted by infinity HiGH on Nov-14-2003 01:35:

Markus Schulz doesn't fit into GU, lol. He just...I dunno, doesn't belong on it. This isn't some elitist bullshit, but it's true. I like his style, but its not a style that I see on a GU cd.

And he doesn't travel places either. Wtf is the point of a Miami resident DJ doing a GU Miami? The whole point of GU is to follow DJ's who go around the world and then make a CD based on their sets in a certain city.

New York and LA have already been done by Oakenfold and Digweed. Chicago would be good. I'm surprised Miami hasn't been done yet, or Montreal.

Posted by Carl0s on Nov-14-2003 01:55:

I think the next one should be done either Mexico City, Chicago, San Jose or something like Hong Kong....

i really wasn't a big fan of Oakie's GU New York.
didn't really listen to his Oslo GU though.

Yeah rumer on the street is Sasha's doing the next GU which is Peru.

I don't know how i feel about sasha doing the next GU. He is prolly my favorite DJ, and he sure knows how to shake things up, but ehhh i dont know. im sensing it will be rather uninovative. GU needs to keep pushing the envelope and putting out new and awsome stuff. The new 24:7's were amazing, but Toronto (which i thought was a good album overall) i felt was just Moscow all over again. they have their differneces yes, but i want GU to be pushing the envelope even more, like James Lavelle's GU and Nick Warren's GU which were both abosoluty amazing.

oh, I'd like to see a GU Mykonos

all GU's are good hehe, its just a matter of taste.

I haven't heard GU Hong Kong; but since it's Digweed, I'm willing to bet that it's really really good.

Posted by montie on Nov-14-2003 06:47:

Hong Kong is quite good.
one of my friends fav. GU's

i prefer Diggers LA one tho to this one

What about a GU Trance done by John 00 Fleming?!?!.. he plays some very rare stuff.. yet good, all in the mix of prog. trance/trance/ and goa trance.. sweet stuff.. but yeah, not a style of GU, but GU - Goa India would fit Fleming, or something like..... GU South Africa or something..

that'd be mint, but i don't think GU is looking forward to put out a pure trance cd. doesn't fit with the theme.

Yea, I've been hearing some rumours about Sasha Peru too. I'd love to see it, but everyone will have huge expectations for it since it would be the follow up to GU013.

As for GU Toronto; I hated it at first too (and was even more dissappointed as a Toronto resident/clubber), but after a while it grew on me and I hold up with Moscow. I just wish some of the vocal tracks weren't on there but oh well.

Hmm never thought of GU South Africa before, but J00F could do the job, he possibly could.

Recorded in Cape-Town...

I Think Sasha in Peru is a fake rumor.
I Would love to see the new GU done by Saeed And Palash.

Posted by slinkyhead on Nov-14-2003 20:06:

i reckon J00f would fit the bill nicely

Posted by Scorchio on Nov-14-2003 20:13:

I'd lvoe to see one by J00F, hes one of my favourite DJs

Posted by Shudder on Nov-14-2003 20:13:

i was just thinking how bout Moshic do a global underground?? his essential mix set at the beginning of this year blew me away.

Posted by Biohazard on Nov-14-2003 20:21:

Zabiella or Sander Kleinenberg should do something for GU. Zabiella would do a nice Nubreed, and Sander has proved that he is good enough for a regular GU. Another artists that could do a Nubreed is Matthew Dekay, or Jimmy van M.
