metallica, iron maiden, slipknot, some hiphop...and all genres in EDM.
I like to think that I'm a opened minded person who can like all music, like a very musical person.
I've noticed that many who like trance/house/techno etc are very musical gifted and do like other stuff to

I also like jazz-fusion stuff like John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra, Liquid Tension, etc....

Basically my other fave is indie rock.Stuff from Coldplay,Travis, Radiohead,Stereophonics,(Basically british bands,Most American bands sucks ass in the music industry) and dave matthews.

Blues; STING, norah jones, sarah mclaughlin.

Hmm 70s to mid 90s rock/alternative/metal. Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Mettalica, Soundgarden, Van Halen(..... you get the idea)

After around 98, thats when I started to really dig electronica.(Not Ace of Base or Aqua kind of shit of course .

Or do you guys only listen to trance/ techno/ house?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I was under the impression that indie artists were, well.. Independant? It's true (or at least I was under the impression) that there is an "Indy" sound, but it's hallmark happens to be the result of a song being "under-produced" (in teh eyes of the masses).

Coldplay is Brit Pop Rock
Radiohead is "Pure Genius(tm)" (although I don't like a lot of their stuff, it is very creative)

Godspeed You Black Emperor is amazing! Their music is so mellow and intense. I currently own all of their albums, and I can honestly say each song is very good.

Im not going to categorize different electronic genres what I listen to, because I suck at it. But anything else what I like to listen to sometimes:

Jazz, Blues,Disco, Funk
Rock/Hard Rock. Sometimes some Rap/Hip-Hop too
I used to be a huge fan of Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin before I found electronic music.

And Classical music can really hit in the spot sometimes.

Pretty much evrything goes exept punk and that nu-metal american shit or whatever you want to call it, e.g. Korn and 'skate punk'. And count in DJ Sammy - Heaven kind of cheesy songs.
