Are you really a member of the NRA??? I'm impressed!!! Kudos to you!! That's the one thing I hate about the ACLU.

Off Topic:
When I was growing up I was lucky enough to have a grandfather with a nice gun collection (and enough acreage to shoot on without bothering the neighbors!)
I don't hunt, mind you. Years ago I had a change of heart and no longer see any sport in killing defenseless animals. I LOVE target practice, though.

simplistic thought... i'm pretty sure i'm the one who wanted enlightenment on the issue. I know i'm pretty ignorant but at least i'm trying to change it.
and to answer your question: my guess is that the U.S. has already had so much involvement with Iraq that it would be less controversial to attack them than to attack Saudia Arabia. I'm not saying that it was entirely economical, but from what i have seen, economics seems to be the major issue. So why DID the U.S. really attack Iraq?

Because Bush is a silly idealist. There is no money coming into the coffers of the US treasury from this war. Quite the opposite and to an alarming degree.
