Let's hope they put more work into this one considering their last few remixes have been "eh" kind of works (Speaking of Fallen, Hello, and Me Against the Music).

They're nice, don't get me wrong, but they just don't feel up to caliber with G&D's other mixes.

did everyone suddenly forget Way Out West - Mindcircus??? OMFG G&D! that was the mix that started the frenzy (and i'm proud to say that i've been listening to mindcircus long before it got popular - pulled it off AG, i think)

then came Southern Sun, which was a frenzy on its own...

i think Alive was prob the best track in that EM. well, maybe along with Serendipity. both good in thier own right.

Posted by speedracer_mec on Nov-18-2003 05:34:

the original alive tune...was awesome.

hopefully they dont tamper with it too much.

i rank that tune in amazement...up there with oliver liebs remix of utah saints-lost vagueness..(the chilling vocals are haunting and beautiful)...

I've listened to the vocals a number of times now... If this is REALLY Josh's voice, that'd be CRAZY! So gorgeous...

yea love this tune
if it is josh's voice that's amazing, it seems like it would most likely be his voice since he did write this for his son right? like i read from the previous posts.

josh is just too good

werd, but my votes for best tracks on the mix would go to use only the drugs, eggs are cute and their remix of beachball

if i were dave, i wouldn't release it and I wouldn't play it anymore.

Such is the nature of good and/or overhyped tracks, can't avoid it and it's a good song so who cares who bashes it or who says what as long as it's enjoyable to you. Assholes are like opinions, everyones got one

Hmm... But the lyrics as well as the actual value of this song mean so much to Josh. I don't think it'd get outplayed as quickly as ATRC.

**Goes to listen to it once more**

Ah didn't understand your post i guess. Yea I do admit it would mean a lot more if he simply rarely played it in gigs and kept it to himself but it's such a great tune I think the world should be able to witness it .

interestingly enough, josh is working on "Alive" right as i type this. he's definitely going to finish the version in our essential mix as well as a more techno-y version.

those are his vocals in the song. he might even crack the mic in a motorcycle toon some day...ya never know...

i'm in l.a. working with ryeland right now on new attention deficit material. i think you all will like our rendition of b.t.'s "the great escape" (attention deficit free will vocal mix) and a new song called "soul sought" as well as a bootleg mix of kelis "milkshake"

all should be played at gatecrasher n.e.c.

: )

It'll be interesting to hear what you guys can do to more male vocal traxx that exist as well as making your own since you've had a lot of success with em' in the past. Always interested in hearing what you guys have planned for the future. I've enjoyed your remixes lately (not as much as your older ones) but I still think they're admirable so FUCK THE HATERS .

PS: any other news for you guys? other remixes your planning on, other side projects with other dj's perhaps? whats of this tune you guys are doing with armin?

Posted by Clyde77 on Nov-18-2003 21:17:

:P, sits and waits for the release date

awsome definatly looking forward to checking those releases out.
while your here working on the new tracks do you have any DJ gigs lined up? like to see you spin live.

Dave, thanks for the info on your upcoming releases. I can't wait to here the BT remix, as well as the Kelis bootleg. Her vocals in that song are very different and although I like the X-press 2 mix, I can't wait to hear what you guys do with the song.

Don't pay attention to all the haters and flamers. As The Rush Comes is an amazing tune and the fact that people think it is overplayed is a tribute to how good it still is. People will be talking about it for years to come.

amen to that!

and i finally got my vinyl in the mail that i ordered on whitelabel back in july! i don't care that everyone had it before me, i haven't heard it played here yet, and even if i had, it's an amazing song, i can't wait to blow peoples minds with it.

now, if only i had Alive to mix into it!

Techno approach = Can't wait to hear this tune. Is there a chance that the original tune (in your Essential Mix) will be dropped at a club or event?

Wow. He's got a gorgeous voice. It's nice to know that Motorcycle is far from over. Can't wait to see another tag name "Gabriel and Dresden present Motorcycle ....".

Honestly, I can't wait to hear all your new mixes, as well as your new productions. Just because I thought Fallen (Anti-Grav Mix) and Me Against The Music (G&D Mix) felt a little below your maximum potentials, no offense of course, doesn't mean that I think you're getting any worse. Keep on dishing out the tunes and I'll keep listening. I'm sure most of the TA'ers would agree with my last phrase. Good luck at Gatecrasher... Have some fun ^_^
