Unhappy Ferry

OK you guys, I want to say stuff about Sunday night too......but I've been sick in bed (not with a hangover). So as soon as I'm done stuffing tissue up my nose I'll say everything I want to say.

Posted by liquidmist2001 on Nov-18-2003 20:14:

hey maribel, thanx for arranging everything...

dj rap's set wasn't bad, but she did mess up twice noticeably... when she was mixing into satisfaction...she was starting to screw up so she just flicked the fader over, but i doubt a lot of people noticed it. she also messed up when she was trying to mix into a little DnB. but all in all it was a decent set... her playing the adam freeland remix of nirvana completely made up for the small mishaps...

and ferry was fuckin' bang on...although i was hoping that he would play the remix of veracocha's carte blanche. he pulled out a sleeve that had the same design as the cover of veracocha, but he didn't play it... hearing some tunes from his new album was absolutely amazing, and what a song to end the day.... william orbit - barber's strings for adagio (ferry corsten remix). another song that made my night was the oakie remix of born slippy nuxx...so totally wasn't expecting that...not to mention all the other favs he played that night.....motorcycle......punk------->rock your body rock!!!

I don't see why people think tiesto is better than ferry...

it was cool meeting all of you there...i have some pics that i need to get processed, i'll put them up as soon as i get them...

Posted by liquidmist2001 on Nov-18-2003 20:17:

and oh yeah, dj rap, dj irene, and dj ferry are all short.... i'm only 5 foot 10", and i was like 3 inches taller than rap, and a few inches taller than ferry...dj irene is cool though, she like asked us questions while we were on the dance floor and recorded us and stuff...it was pretty cool...

does anyone know what the video was for?

I think it was to promote one of her gigs or club nights.

Posted by liquidmist2001 on Nov-19-2003 01:16:

wierd then, cuz she kept asking stuff about ferry corsten......like his best production......his best collaboration, what we thought about ferry......

goddf'ingdammit... i can't believe i missed out on such a spectacular

event--not to mention missing the oppurtunity to meet some great tA's

and see DJ Rap's sweet ass in person. i need to pay more attention

to the Local forums. i got a e-mail notification for this event

(from Spundae) two days b4 the event concurred--and i said fuck it

because 90% of the time the age requirements are 21+ unless otherwise

noticed. and by the time i read the thread regarding this event (the

day that it took place), it was already too late. i was actually

quite suprised that the age requirement for this event was 18 and

over b/c the last time ferry played at a 18+ club was earlier this

year at Together As One. damn...i'm so heated, its going to

take me awhile b4 i can get over the emotional scars i've received

from not going to this event. but in the long run... it's taught me

a valuable lesson: TO PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THE LOCAL BOARDS!!!

Hi.

First off, I am a noob on this forum.

Second, I saw Tiesto on Halloween in Vegas, and it was AMAZING.

This recent Ferry/Rap show had nothing on it, IMO. Just the feel of the music really flowed at Tiesto. Ferry was decent, but I did not lose myself in his music.

And I have a question: Whats up w/ the crowds at Ferry? It was just a bunch of guys jumping around on the whole front 1/2 of the dance floor. There was like no-one dancing male/female w/ eachother.

At Tiesto it was all male/female dancing.

Ferry felt more like a rock concert or something.

PS - Did you notice all the old ass ophthalmologists there?

at least it wasnt as bad as the look on the waiters face, when we told him ferry corsten was a HE and not a SHE

becuase im sure he thought it was fairy corsten

and it was san francisco....
so he probably thought we were meeting some gay man in a fairy suit for dinner at chevys....

disturbing

i love ferry so much that i just cant dance when one of my all time favorite songs is coming on, i have to go crazy cus im way to excited. it was a rock concert at times and i loved it!, none of that candy kid/raver shit i couldnt have had a better time. the people there wanted to hear and see ferry not just dance to another DJ(tiesto) and thats why it was crazy ... you might have came to the wrong event...

seriously one of the best nights of my life

IMO of course...

And the highlight of the night!
