I just finished X-2 last night for the first time (45 hours) with 92% completion. There were ALOT of new innovative things in the game but the storyline was only skin deep. Did anybody else find it hard to take the game seriously? I mean even during the scene right before they were going to finish off the final boss they were joking around and playing that stupid jazzy music. I do agree that the final boss was way too easy as well, my characters were like level 73, 78 and 80 something and I was killing each section of the final boss in about 5 hits max.
Hell, that boss you had to fight in the desert that was attacking the Cactuar Nation was way more tough than the final boss! I'll play through again though, I want to get 100% so I can view the "perfect" ending.
Well somehow even though I didn't finish alot of parts I got 100% the second time around??? I guess it was being sympathetic with me.
But fyi the "perfect" ending doesn't really add much at all imo, the "good" ending you get by hitting x at the farplane is waaaay better.
Ok sorry for the late post but I have been hardcore addicted to this game. O_o I guess it had a few "cheesy" moments and parts that I could of done without, but that didn't affect on the playing value of this game for me. I loved the Bevelle Dungen (Especially the awesome accessory you get for beating it) I just got finished playing the story for the 3rd time, and I can finally put it down. I got 100% story, all the Dresssphere's, all 60 Garmit Grid's and just got the last of the Treasure Sphere's (Gippal's Sphere) and I can't think of anything else I can do in this game, I've abused it as much as I can
I guess the only thing that sucks about it (For me) is that I probably won't find a game I like as much as this for a while, so I dunno what I'm gonna do
Well if you played Xenosaga or even Xenogears (which you should have) I think the 2nd episode is coming out really soon in the next month or so. Or maybe I'm wrong. I dunno, but I want it to come out, the series and story are great and so is the actual gameplay.

Still 12 days of waiting here in Europe for FF X-2
I need to play this game. Final Fantasy gives me everytime the "OMG I DIE" feeling
Xenosaga came out March of 2003 and should be about $30 and real easy to find. Xenogears came out in 1998 for PSX, might be a little tricker to find but I think they've released a Greatest Hits version. Xenogears is great but awkward, Xenosaga I don't think is a very good game :P

FFx-2 Review
I felt ffx2 was a rehash of ffx and the battle system was interesting but it felt like a combonation of dress up barbie meets ff tactics meets dance dance revolution but the ending makes up for te game
i think its still a great game, but nothing to ffx. i wanted a little more story, but it left any kind of story till right to the end, and the only explanation is some crappy 'ghost/shadow' thing of shuyin. plus no auron so it must automatically not be as good
78% through so far on me second play.
just finished it yesterday, i liked the game alot... glad that ATB is back in! but seriously did anyone even use the special dress spheres at all?!
i got 74% on my first go, i missed a load of missions out in chapter 1
, gonna go thru it agian soon!
I've got my 100% and I'm heading to the final boss! Again.
