Gyros in Greece are superior to any gyros anywhere else in the world and to any shwarma, in my opinion. If you are in Athens, go to Monastiraki, and on one road parellel to the main drag there is this place called "Quick Pita." They are small, cheap, and AMAZING! Oh, and they serve huge portions of beer there. OMG, I could die for a gyro from there right now. And they even serve them with chicken and mustard! Mmmmm...

Zito Ellas!

well then come to vandit nite, and it will be more than easy to get a kebap ! havent had one yet, cant find a chicken kebap and i don't know what that meat is in it, i think lamb, but who knows.....

Here is the deal, most people in Germany that make Dner are Turkish, hence Muslim. Muslims do not eat Pork, hence all Dner are either Lamb, Chicken or Beef. Go out get one. You will find out they are different in Berlin from other places - like Frankfurt. Most of the meat is actually supplied by two Turkish brothers that run their business out of Frankfurt. Since Dner isn't really turkish food, they export their meat from Frankfurt to Turkey as well.

i see what you are saying, i dont eat lamb or beef. (i know it sounds weird b/c i like chicken but i really just dont like the taste of other meats). i have yet to find a chicken kebap in my area, but i keep looking. i am going to Hamburg this weekend, so i am almost positive that i will find a CHICKEN one there....

you should be able to find a chicken donner! yummy. they are pretty much the same as a good shwarma.

oh and somtimes the meat is mixed lamb and beef.
as for a kebab, this usually means barbequed chunks of meat on a skewer. (unless its ground)
