ohh i see.. well i thought i put a J/k after it but maybe it still seemed offensive. i apologize to anyone who was offended. i am not homophobic nor do i even take the idea of hitting a gay person seriously, it was a joke.

my point was to make rainbow_marble feel more comfortable with the idea of going to a gay club, because i've already been to two events there and each night was definitely enjoyable. (well actually only tiesto, oakey's mixing was dreadful)

sorry for any misunderstandings, especially to mr. dresden. you and mr.gabriel should come play in houston one day. i know a lot of people who would definitely love to hear you guys play.

I definitely back u up all the way, saw some serious hotties there. The gay thing is not a problem there arent that many there and they arent like forcing themselves on u, they are there to enjoy the music like everyone else, I would equate it to walking into Gap or Banana Republic. I dunno though I do have one complaint the sound system isnt as off the chain as one would desire, but I like the venue overall and the people are real nice. My only real complaint is they need a better opener big time. Well on second thought no they dont because Sean Craponhishands sux so bad I cant wait for the next dj.

i tell ya what...use that same logic and go say something durogutory like that about black people on a hip hop site...im sure they would deal with you accordingly.

wow Dave, it's a first, but I agree with ya I think we're in a day & age that people of all walks of life, straight, bi, gay, whatever can be accepted as normal like they are, even comments with j/k at the end can still offend, so think before you post (aimed at Emerald)

Hahaha I agree I just wouldnt be so harsh with language, I think all the TA's that were at Tijs can attest that Emerald is not a homophobe nor has hate towards them, I mean his job is 65 % if not more gay people. As for the comments I can understand the offense but he was just joking not that makes it ok but i think he shouldnt attacked like he is now, in other words give him a break, and get ure noses out of Dave's ass, Love ure music and all Dave but there is some serious ass kissing going on, people have to remember youre just another person like us, only u produce top quality music. Its ok to agree with someones comments but damn.

I agree with Prestige. Whats the big deal? Theres dumb posts on here everyday, ignorant ones as well. This is just another. So let's not make a big deal about it.


Dave might be more sensitive because of where he lives, *cough* San Francisco *cough*. Hell I live in Austin, believed to be 2nd behind Austin in the gay era, and I'm not making a big deal about it.

Emerald may not be a Homophobe but even I felt the comment made was pretty ignorant. His ignorance was shown because he didnt even know what was wrong with the comment he made. But in the end it doesnt really matter. This is a message board after all. So CALM down people.

You cannot accuse me of kissing ass, as I usually disagree with Dave, but this time he was right. Sure we have idiots like yourself here, and remembering that we can only judge people on their attitudes in comments, how was I or anyone else who might be gay & offended by that attitude shown, know that he was truly joking. The book has to end somewhere and in this case, tranceaddict in general, do not accept bashing of people for race or sexuality, or like when girls post and suddenly every new one is hounded off the boards by horny men or guys. it's wrong in this day & age and shouldn't happen. I don't expect much of a response from you cos the post before shows that your intellectual status is on par with a foetus, so if you don't want a post to be taken in the way that most, including Dave did, simple, don't post it. now its obvious to me that this comment was really dumb and unnecessary, but it probably emerged from the fact that me and my gay coworkers always make jokes at each others expense just for fun. we all know its just jokes and no one gets offended, especially me. it's like the stuff they say on that show Will & Grace.

Sir, to call me an idiot is not only an understatement, but I believe it to be an oversight. My original cause in posting in this thread was to merely defend my buddy in a comical manner. It is obvious that the statement has filled you with disgust and therefore causing you to express your opinion by referring to me as an idiot. Probably what was stated was pointless and should have not been said to begin with. The post was initially intended to explain that Emerald was simply jesting about the club and its people.

And so much about the rumors of a certain someone coming in for spundae during this month huh? If only it were true.. unless you already know its not true then just tell me then being so anticipated about him coming. FYI.. talkin about avb. haha.

But then again Tiesto is a good start. Best night of my life too. Let's just hope top notch dj's realized that he came down here and do not mind insisting coming here also. But then again I hope they don't take Mauro Picotto's word. I don't even want to remember that nite. Ahh! Speakers fcuking up. Let's get the icebox guys!(not mine of course)

David Lewis mentioned a possibility of it. I speculated, and threw a quote out there. It was up to everyone to start assuming he was going to be there. It was never a concrete fact. I wish people would get over this!

well im pretty sure armin isnt coming anytime soon... well not in december at least. the rumors are false i guess.

i was at the record store today and some guy came in promoting spundae, and we started talking... he gave me the new flyers with donald glaude/scumfrog etc. and i asked him about armin and he was like... armin van buring? i was like uhhh armin van buuren ... and he said he's never heard of him, so im guessing armin isnt coming at all. i told the guy that i was at tiesto and oakey and that they should bring armin cause he will most definitely pull some heads and bring in some $$$ like tiesto. he said he'll look into it, but he probably already forgot the name

so no armin this month guys... digweed it is!

I wonder who's in charge of running spundae over here in houston. Would be cool if they could get some help from us fellow Houston TA's.

So I think we should make a regional forum that includes areas like Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma (ok there's nothing there hehe). Colorado is already represented by the West Coast forum it seems.

What do you guys think?

sounds like a great idea to me... but are there enough of us southerners to actually get a forum? seems like only a few...

the thing is that there are few of us southern TAs who are actually consistent on the forums. most seem to log on just once in a while.

If there is enough interest for DIGWEED, will try to start seting up shite in a week or two. that way it will give us enough time to come to conclusions on what to do. JAN 4 i presume. i am out of school and so are most of the college students here. let's try to get a bigger group going this time.

all new TX TA's let yourself be known. we are quite a friendly bunch.

Amen to that! I dont go back until the 19th so u know wat Im sure Ill have an extra 30 bonos to spend, Im down who's with me?! My only coneern is where are we gonna eat this time? hah no j/k I hope to meet more of the TX TA's this time around like some of the others that couldnt get here.
