nope. i recorded a set on minidisc before. perfect quality.

I'm getting one for Christmas! Can't wait.

Keep in mind that the program the MD uses to encode the file (or whatever the proper phrase is) does so at only 128 kb/s. So you're limited to that, which doesn't often capture the frequencies of the mix as best as possible.

Like Rocco said it depends on the quality of the MD you have and how you compress it.

One of the better MDs was on sale for only about $200 at future shop recently...there are deals all the time.
