Blah! I say play more ADD stuff!

Also with BT's supposedly Live Laptop Symphony - I hope he plays live on the keyboards, I remember seeing a few video clips a few years back on "Recovery" where they done a special on him. He was playing @ a gig live, and was just absolutely thrashing the keyboards - sort of like how a rock star trashes their electric guitar. hehe it was pretty cool to see, let alone be there witnessing it - they seemed like pretty expensive sythns too!

Without Corsten?
I'll probably will stay in the progressive room all night.
Well... maybe I'll go out for Tomcraft and Chris Lawrence.

Progressive room looks massive. Trance room is so-so.

But I'm not complaining

Posted by escee on Dec-17-2003 01:32:

i think people are underestimating how good hybrid are...

Posted by surfrgal on Dec-17-2003 03:28:

IMO, the two DJs most worth seeing are Christopher Lawrence and Sasha. BT's laptop thing might okay too. The rest of the line up is a bit blah.

Posted by Slade on Dec-17-2003 04:55:

Chris Lawrence is probably better than Ferry Cheesten

Posted by Renegade on Dec-17-2003 05:06:

Meh.

Wouldn't mind seeing Sasha (over-rated as he is), Lawrence or Hybrid (Green Velvet may be interesting too), but it's still a pretty ordinary line-up for what's likely to be a $100 event. What happened to the line-up of 2002? Even last year wasn't bad considering Picotto and Tiesto dropped out.

As it is though, this one's looking distinctly missable unless tickets are $40-50 max.

Posted by Renegade on Dec-17-2003 05:15:

Although the guys on ITM are talking about Beyer coming to the Melbourne one, which makes things a bit better.

Hmmm...

It depends on what you like. Some of Ferry's productions are good (the first few tracks on his new album are great, although remiscient of Daft Punk and Timo). Problem is that Ferry plays cheese, which I don't like.

Personally, I prefer Lawrence because there is more depth and power to his music. He's the biggest trance DJ in the US and did well in the Top 100 this year, defintely part of the next generation of trance.

You aint seen nothing till youve seen the crystal method live!! They lift up their synths over their heads and then slam them back down on to the stands SERIOUSLY hard!! Made me flinch everytime they did and i was flinching a lot that day!!

Oh and matt - there will be no dissing of airdrawndagger when im around thank you very much - it is an album of the absolute best production quality and the tunes are A-grade.... nuff said!!

Posted by lethal on Dec-17-2003 08:26:

Can someone tell me the confirmed DATE for the Melbourne Two Tribes?? I cant find it anywhere!! Need to start booking hotels, transport, grand prix tickets (it better be on grand prix weekend!), etc, etc....

Cheers!

Yeah, I'm 99% sure it's on the Grand Prix Sunday (the Monday's a public holiday in Melbourne... for some reason). Better make sure you get in asap though, because the hotels are always packed out that weekend for the race.

That would make the date for the Melbourne TT Sunday 7th March?

errr have you ever heard any of his livesets? I would be interested to know what you define as cheeze.

Just cos it's not progressive doesn't mean it's cheeze

NOTE TO SELF: Must see Crystal Method live.

Yes, agree with Lethal and Escee, ADD is melody @ it's best.

melb is 7th March - Sunday

i was going to go, but its just to expensive at that time of the year

Posted by Fiction on Dec-18-2003 05:59:

How unlike Future to not come through with the goods... good to see nothing has changed there nonetheless there is definatley some talent lined up just not trance as mentioned

Posted by misstrance on Dec-18-2003 06:11:

Yeh i was planning to go to Melb for this as well but seeing that the line up doesn't interest me that much i might just give it a miss and save my $$$ to go down for PvD instead

Posted by azuma25 on Dec-18-2003 08:21:

I dont understand some of you people....Sasha, BT, Hybrid in the one night, do you know how lucky we are to have them in one place at the same time!! After Hybrid Morning Sc-Fi (Album of the year) I cant wait to see them live, and, if you have never seen Hybrid live then you should because they thrive on live audiences

What he said....The TT lineup is fucking massive, Ferry or no Ferry!

Posted by webmeister on Dec-18-2003 22:53:

Sasha and Hybrid don't interest me all that much, and I'm not particularly interested in paying $100+ to see BT, even more so if the Sydney event is all ages like it was last year

Posted by ausclubber on Dec-20-2003 02:37:

ive changed my mind.
melb is only $65 this year
and as well as sasha/bt/hybrid we have piccotto, pui, tomcraft, fergie and green velvet may even be interesting.
it will be good.
