Hahaha! I was referring to the office, not the hood!

The Darling Park office was all class and affluence. The St. Leonards office is el-cheapo stuff. I suggest having a look inside the Darling Park building and the nice garden in between the buildings, it's all open to the public during the day. It's a great work of architecture.

BUT! do you realise if you get the job..... YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH WADE HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

seriously, he works in the same place, i think he started in that job, he still works in Operations now.

I work in IVR operations, can get dead boring at times, but interesting at other times when you have issues to solve etc. things to program blah blah blah

muli, u say I still work in Ops...I'm in Asia in Ops FFS...I'm now sitting in Thailand; work paid for me to get here...it can't be too bad, considering the fact that I do get to program if I want (as would of Cam), as well as there's network and system admin tied into operations in the same team....it's not a limited scope....but hey I CBF'd compairing dicks, er, i mean roles.

Oh and u say I work in ops, u work in ops. Joy. My title is nothing Operations based to be honest; XDDS Production Specialist.

I've read this late(got to love the beachs of Phuket), but a reply was deamed.

I'm sure you all know how things with Cam went and I'll leave it that way but will say on Xpedite's behalf, that things have worked out.

"he still works in Operations now" - i read that as a fairly innocent statement....it's not like muli emphasised the STILL.....

anyways, no need to get so darn defensive....i'm sure we're all happy for u that u love ur job djway.....i guess it musta improved a ton since u used to bitch to me not too long ago about how much u couldn't stand the place and wanted to leave

Did i say your job was bad? Did i say my job was bad? I just gave a quick generalisation.

And as beemer said, not to long ago you were saying you wanted to leave and you hated the place, now that they send you overseas you change your mind? Sorry for not keepin up with your life mate, but i have better things to do.

i was just making a joke, but go have a teary in Phuket. So cool wade

Just to add fuel to the fire, who earns the most?

Leave me out of the flames though, because my salary sux, while my uni buddies now get > $70K/year.

*sigh*... "it's all relative".

Posted by eRRaTiK on Dec-23-2003 11:20:

not enough to be comfortable yet. let's just say "average"

for me, at the moment, living at home with parents when trying to save (for my trip to europe and an investment opportunity) really helps.

i'm not really in pursuit of the high (70-100K) range. Depends on the role and what responsibilities come with it. Many people with high incomes also have high expenditures (and/or tax) so it's not always better to be on a higher salary. of course, if you're one of those lucky people who get paid heaps for doing virtually nothing.. then you're my hero.

statistically, less than 10% (or is it 5%) of all australians are truly financially free by the time they retire.

i know for a fact that wade earns more than me

But i earn alright for my age, would like more but got a decent rise this year But next year on to bigger things

Posted by escee on Dec-23-2003 13:13:

i only work part time, hence not very much.

Posted by webmeister on Dec-24-2003 08:11:

Comfortable

Should get a good pay rise in January as well

Posted by Ghostface on Dec-24-2003 10:44:

and to think this thread started so innocently.

Posted by Master_Yoda on Dec-25-2003 04:40:

I earn alright money, get paid by the hour, and there's a lot of travelling involved which I enjoy, especiall since it's always all expenses paid (As in food, accommodation and travel time and kms)

Only problem I have is that when work runs out, well it runs out. And u have next to no income.

And this working + uni thing is not good.

Especially when u get the opportunity to do a 70hour+ week while uni is happening... u can't.

wtf is up with you lot?

I gather this feud is in relation to prior social convictions you had with one another but theres no need for hostilities - especially considering that we all used to be good mates.

I hardly think a fucking job title nor the wording of a post should be the basis of future friendships (if any). Its the internet - get over it.

As far as im concerned you can be the fucking CEO of Sony but if you dont know how to do ur job (not saying that any of u dont) but a 'title' means nothing - a title means nothing more than climbing higher on a social hierarchy and gaining extra responsibilities despite improved 'pay'.

Im not taking sides here by any degree and infact i shouldnt have intruded on ur petty argument but just lay off with the hostilities - id like to think i know you lot pretty well and would assume ur alot more mature than this.

Disagree with me? PM me. Id be more than happy to respond.

BTW: Merry Christmas to everyone

crasher-kid...

ur a bit late - there aint been anythin negative in this thread for a few days....looked to me like it'd gone back to bein perfectly innocent!!

but as an aside....conflict is human nature - a world without conflict simply isn't possible...and, if it was, what a boooooring world it would be.....everybody is never gonna just get along, or be nice to each other.....and this being just an internet board isn't gonna change that!! since when did TA have to be 100% fluffy lovey dovey "we're all mates here" positivity?? meh....TA isn't fantasy land

and btw, u haven't posted on TA in forever - and ur first post on ur return is to jump down everyone's throats and dictate how u want the board to be?? sheesh.......

and don't take it personally, cos u know i luv ya....in fact, couple of us have been worried bout u since u seemed to drop off the planet after HSC results came out.....so, very glad to know ur alive and well come on msn sometime!!!

(if i seem a lil hostile, sorry....it's xmas day, combined with that time of the month....NOT a good combo....hehehehe)
