if he was on the way out you don't move up the list

well...i don't mean immediately, but he is at the end of his career. he will still probably be around for maybe another 4-5 years, but that's probably it...i'm just trying to say that him and say an oakenfold are slowly going out and new stars such as armin are coming in...

I don't think anybody can top Tiesto's status, but to say Armin is coming in on him is a little bit of an overstatement...yeah sure he does have an awesome radio show, I heard he's an awesome guy and his productions are top notch, but his sound hasn't evolved or gone anywhere, while almost everybody else is evolving gradually shaping their own sound. Not to mention with the overflood and surplus of DJs and trance these days, Armin's style is getting kinda old, pretty fast.
I think Marco V will someday be No 1.

well if u listen to armin every single week it's hard not to get "old", it's not like he can make a new sound for you every week

Marco V doesn't seem that great to me, just my opinion

Armin and PvD will someday be #1

Way to go, that's essentially what I've written already.

Nyana was hardly world-changing but I still don't think you could name a better trance compilation from this year.

I agree 100%.

Ferry! Top notch DJ with a great sound, I think he's slowly but surely taking over.

Posted by UnBracKo on Dec-23-2003 20:31:

I hope Ferry, but I think in a few years the #1 Dj will be Armin.

there was trance on Nyana? I better have another listen...

Posted by Cobalt on Dec-23-2003 20:46:

Ferry or Marco V. Possibly Paul if he gets his act together, but I doubt it. As others have said, there are reasons Armin shouldn't, and probably won't, take the top position unless he makes some serious artistic development.
