Woohoo KRINKER!! I like you brotha!

hehe... that's pretty funny.. about the old tracks.. now that you mention it.

but I won't completely hijack this thread.. props to Marco G! Every time I see him he impresses me more each time.. him and preach are a lethal combo.

His mixing is let's say decent ( at least he can beatmatch but that's all )

His tracklisting his good ... but hey it's kinda obvious 3/4 of the tracks he spins are old so .. EVERYBODY knows them ( i think even my mom knnow the tune he spins )

He's a good producter ... ok i'll agree on that one

But let's be honest i've seen him 3 times in the last two years and the only time he was any good was @ aria on october 13 2002. The others times he was crappy: Swirl 2002 3 hours of linear beats, Dagobert in april 2003 he was just crappy nothing good + he played SOOOOO hard and loud it wasn't good at all. And From what i've heard he was good only once at aria ( for the times i wasn't there ) sooooo please get offf with mauro there's a lot more techno dj's that you all should adore.

BTW NOW BACK TO THE TOPIC !

Marco Rock

And i'm preparing the tracklistings

KrinKer

I will crawl up into a little ball and shake while I pretend you never wrote this.

I saw him twice last year.. and I remember sitting through his entire set in anticipation of Danilo Vigorito rockin the dex afterwards... I find Mauro, at least on that night anyway, was mixing say, 10 min worth of techno tracks, followed by 10 min of trancey tracks, and the crowd was going off to it, but personally I found it hard to get into.. I respect the fact that he plays techno tracks because he believes the quality of the productions right now is high, unlike some other genres.

since there are no 'techno' headliners in January.. I may check this out... Feb & March are gonna be off da hook though.. can't wait.. hehe

this time mauro was not in shape at all i was very deceived by his set
the fisrt time he came to aria he rocked tha place the vibe was one of the best ive ever seen

anyways i hope mauro will be in shape for the 31

wtf ok mauro c pas le meilleur dj mais il mix quand meme bien
au moin ses sets son divertisants la plupart du temps tu te tanne pas de les ecouter du debut a la fin

pas comme du linear house
une ligne de bass avec une ou 2 notes
lol

Posted by KrinKer on Jan-04-2004 02:31:

1st

2nd

Mauro est pas un mauvais dj's ... c jusse qu'il mix VRAIMENT Pas mieux que moi ni que personne d'autre ( souvent c du fade-in/fade-out )

3rd

Pour la diversit on reviendras, je trouve que de plus en plus ses tracklistings ressemble au tracklistings des autres dj's techno

That's my story and i'm sticking to it !!

Personally... aside from seeing the man a few times

I don't make it a point to download his sets or give much listen to the stuff he produces, so I'm not the best judge in terms of his skill.. though surely he would never come to mind when considering 3 deck wizards.. hehe

If he makes techno less 'scary' for the masses, then he serves a purpose as an ambassador of sort. I may go.. we'll see.. if Preach plays that night I can definitely be swayed.

my 2

Mauro might not be the best mixer in the world but he knows how to make the crowd go crazy. The vibe at aria when he comes is just crazy just watch the videos. The tracks he drops are what makes him so good 2 cause he knows exactly what the crowd wants and to me thats what Dj'ing is all about.

To me

Dj'ing is the complete oposite !!

A good dj is a dj that surprise me with every tune he drops. I don't want to know the complete tracklist of a dj while listening to him, it makes me sick !!!

J@y

U should go out on a House nigh ... you'll know what it's all about !!!

it was a good night. i was tired so i did not stay for long after sharam started. i just heard like an hour of his set. i find it ok, he played some known tunes plus new ones, while i was there.

marco g impresses me a lot when i hear him play techno, he has great tracks, the night he played before sharam, it was not that oogd mostly cause he could not make up his mind what to mantain, he stared with house, then he dropped some harder stuff then house again, then harder, etc. it is not bad if it's for awhile but he did changes to drastic, so you could never get into it.

i saw him last friday (january 2) and he was amazing with preach. marco was droping some crazy hard tunes i never heard. it was great.

as of picotto, krinker you should not talk about stuff you dont know :P picotto as of this moment is a total techno dj, with a few electro tunes here and there. he does not play old tunes, unless they are requests. 95% of his sets are the techno tunes that are making the rounds. since you say last time you saw him was 2002, you should not comment on what style he is now :P
