It's a lot more fun programming the sound yourself. A lot of the desriptions I have read here are more punchy sounds than plucked ones. Having a short LP filter isn't realy a plucked sound, it's just a punchy sound.

Tghe word plucked is a term used by bass-players and discribes how the string of the bass is pulled back so hard that it snaps against the frets when let go. If you want to emulate this sound it is best to find a sample that sounds similar to a string hitting a fret and sequencing that alongside you bass sequence or guitare. It doesn't need to go up and down the toneladder. You need to find something like a snare with a very metalic sound. Have it channel through a compressor alongside the toned sequence to make the toned sequence drown out when the pluck sound is playing. This is more realistic than just an LP filter and a lot more flexible.

A more lazy way is the LP filter but you need to make sure that the sound before the filter has a lot of noise going on or at least a lot of high end. The downside to this is that it is less flexible than the sampled snappy sound and it is harder to just leave out the pluckyness on certain notes.

So the filter method is easy to do and it's hard to go wrong. And the sample method takes a lot of tweaking and if not done right doesn'sound good at all.

Pfft, the demo version of V-Station wouldn't let me save a preset.
This is an above & beyond/smith & pledger type pluck, I hope that is what you're after.

Start from an init patch.
Leave everything at default values except these settings:

osc 2 waveform: triangle
osc 2 level: 52

filter mode: 12 dB
filter freq: 41
keytrack: 0
mod env: 53

mod decay: 70
mod release 57

amp release: 0

eq level: 63
eq freq: 80
delay level: 46
delay ratio: 4/3
reverb level: 18
chorus level: 19

unison voices: 3 (optional)
