The Evil Dead series

Posted by 3xx3r7 on Jan-25-2004 06:09:

This poll is missing the great classic Stephen King's IT. That movie was some scary shizzit.

I personally enjoyed the first Scream. 28 days later scared me beyond belief, i actually had a full length dream where I was in that world, except the only thing that could kill the infected was water. I remember that at the end of the dream, it rained and they all died, but i woke up covered in sweat, it wasn't pretty. the Exorcist scared me in the same way when i first saw it (in grade 5) but then i watched it again recently, and i actually liked it. I'm weird with horror movies.

The Exorcist!

Posted by Nautilus on May-05-2004 21:56:

Newer horror films are more comical than scary.

It' gotta be between "The Exorcist," "Nightmare On Elm St.," and "Hellraiser." I went with Freddy's movie since it was the first of these three that I saw thus the most impressionable.

Posted by trancebrat on May-06-2004 04:57:

Are we talking about the series with some of these or the original?

Hellraiser! I haven't seen that movie in years but I still remember it being insane.

Ironic...I spoke to a guy the other day that sounded exactly like Candyman (over the phone). I told three people standing nearby and not one had a clue what I was talking about.

Posted by Dj Dizzy on May-06-2004 12:27:

looks like Hellraiser's the favorite.

Ringu all the way baby.

The way Sadako came out of the well and out of the tv and the way she walked.

You can watch the japanese version clip on how she came out at sfogs.com
I've seen girls barf while watching it in the cinema.Even heard that someone peed while watching the movie.

I watched the movie twice, the 2nd time, after the movie ended, these 2 male teens didnt want to go home by themselves and ended up calling one of their parents to take them home. Funny as fuck.

Other honourable mention would be Dark water(CREEPY) and Ju ON(though not as scary)

These japs know how to scare the fuck out of people
