rofl; didnt mean to offend anyone, i think nothing wrong and we shouldnt boycot the club! just thought the flyer was entertaining

Posted by wallflower on Jan-09-2004 16:53:

I think most people go to a club for the party or the DJ, rather than for the club itself

If the place is good enough for PVD, it should be good enough for us
He played there 40 minutes longer than scheduled. And I saw all the Vandit shirts up there. Roxy might be better, but SF didn't seem so bad for a good number of ppl.

it might also be the only club in NYC that has a Jacuzzi

Posted by Anno Domino on Jan-09-2004 17:45:

the jacuzzi is NASTY and dirty

dont be suprised if you see a RUBBER floar by your face while your in there.

sf is a shitty club end of story let the gay community enjot vazquez cause i wouldnt.

(nothing wrong with being gay junior just sucks)

Posted by Victor Dinaire on Jan-09-2004 17:50:

dont rule out Sound Factory just yet!

trust me!!!

yeah, especially with the weather being so cold lately, of course she'd catch a cold in that skimpy outfit...

for years, SF's flyers have been sexually explicit...theres nothing different now except that they are catering towards a gay crowd...i used to go regularly during 2001...if you wanna see my collection of SF flyers depicting girls with perfect asses on them, i'd be more than happy to show you...

i didnt know. i just assumed, heh. and i know that flyers have always catered towards hetero men with girls and their huge boobs and nice butts, but i'm wondering if there was ever one that replaced the male 'giver and receiver' in that flyer with a female one...

Posted by stevebutabi on Jan-10-2004 02:59:

don't go to sound factory because IT'S THE FUCKING SOUND FACTORY!

christ, the place has been a shithole full of shirtless guido winners for several years now.

It hasn't been good since the peak era of Limelight and Tunnel (loooong time ago).

Now Arc is the only place with a decent vibe... especially in the VIP where the people are great.

fuck i miss twilo

ok.....now im lost

Posted by beema on Jan-10-2004 03:26:

btw, Junior Vasquez is the absolute worst DJ I have ever had the displeasure of seeing
he doesnt even TRY to mix, constant trainwrecks, no flow whatsoever
maybe he figures that he has been around so long and that he is a "legend" so he can do whatever the fuck he wants
but jesus, he's just a disgrace at this point

retire already dude!

Re: Re: Sound Factory: A Reason Never to Go!!!!

JP did 2-3 days sets on regular basis in SF...

There is an unconfirmed report about him supposedly once playing for over 48 hours at Palladium many years ago.

The current record holder is US DJ Martin Boss, who played for 72 hours in Orlando

pls explain how JP did 72 hours on a "regular" basis when 72 hours is the record.

Posted by Wheel of Steel on Jan-11-2004 15:59:

72 hrs.....damn. i dunno if i could sleep that long, albiet staying awake and DJing...nuts...
I think the flyer is a bit obscene, not a smart move imo. I mean they are totally turning away anyone but gay guys. Atleast let some poor fool try to pay, take his money before he walks right back out from all the gaydar...

I heard back in the day junior was the man. never got to see him, have no desire to see him now, but yes remember your roots guys.
IF IT WASN'T FOR GAY GUYS THERE WOULD BE NO HOUSE, NO SCENE AND CERTAINLY NO TRANCE!!!!!
THEY STARTED IT!!!! They should defiantely be allowed to have fun ect. but the flyer is a bit much, looks like a shot out of some porno...that's not going to help our scene if the wrong people see that.

Posted by RaVeRSurGe_NYTA on Jan-11-2004 19:59:

the gays started the trance scene?

please xplain.

Posted by Wheel of Steel on Jan-11-2004 20:46:

they started the house scene which lead to clubbing we enjoy today. This is where it get's tricky for all you"trance addicts". Trance comes from goa. But the trance you probably like is drived partly from, we shall call i "psy trance" and also from house. For if you like trance in it's raw PURE form you would be going to every single mind blowing psy trance event.
The mainstream trance producers in europe were influnced by acid house and techno and "psy trance". So if it weren't for gay guys going nuts to house, it would have not have gotten so popular and the trance that you enjoy would not exist.

Posted by EliPsE on Jan-12-2004 08:54:

Hmm my last name is Vazquez.

I have nothing against gays but the gay azn dudes @ arc are ridiculously annoying and piss me off.

The flyer is not that crazy i liked it
