Yeah, it's probably just best to come around mid afternoon and party till the next morning. Doing some 3 day excursion is probably a pipedream. As for camping, it's prohibitied on all the islands anyways, though sleeping on boats beached on the islands is fine.

Lake Lanier has more than 100 islands that provide scenic value, provide wildlife habitat, serve as buffers between development, and afford numerous day-use recreational activities. Day-use activities consist of fishing, sunbathing, hiking, swimming, bird watching, wading, picnicking, etc. All fires and camping, including the placement of any type tent, are not permitted on islands. The practice of island camping has been prohibited due to resulting site degradation; lack of sanitation facilities and potable water; and the lack of adequate patrol and law enforcement. Unrestricted use has led to unauthorized construction, rowdiness, the loss of vegetation and wildlife food sources, and has encouraged erosion. The islands are the last havens for wildlife species to escape the pressures of development and high-density recreational use. Uncontrolled use threatens the ability of the islands to provide this safe retreat for wildlife. Public use is also credited with starting fires that have completely burned several islands.

Mr Pink: A) she said that that was exactly what the 4th of july was and no one complained. If you go to the middle where the dam is and not near any houses where the shoreline is, then no one would complain. But you'd have to find place that is nestled and far away from any sort of housing complex. I guess the key here is .......only we would be around that area. Desolated and just us...she says you'd have to search the islands, and find which creeks are better to work with. B) That goes along with the first one, as long as no one knows about it. BUt having so many people at a non-stop party might be risKAY lol. Regardless look up the rules and regulations.

Hmm, heres another possibility: About an hour south of ATL is Lake Sinclair. A friend of mine who lives near it is telling me that there is a large island in the middle of it, where he's been to 4 seperate, wild parties, with about 60+ people each time, loud ass music, and zero busts. An alternative to consider, perhaps? I'm not familiar with the lake, but he says he knows many people over there with boats.

Originally posted by ex-dj Phil you got a boat too? Rock on! We should do a FLTA lake outing sometime. I offered to bring my boat up when the thread started and the offer still stands. Curious as to how you're gonna power all the gear on an island though? You're going to need a very large gas powered generator and a lot of gas. Also, while 2 or 3 day is bad ass, it's probably overkill, the idea is tight everyone would come even for 1 day & night. But please please please don't make it the 4th of July! Then I gotta decide between this or PVD @ 4th of July bash in Miami.
