Sorry, but i've to agree..most boring PvD set i ever heard on Fritz.

Guys, SG is really not supposed to be like Asot, it's just experimental stuff combined with funny comments.
It's Paul the Entertainer ffs
and we don't have to discuss his Live Set Qualities! BOUNCE!

ok first of all...brian! i know you are entitled to your opinion and all, and thats all good! like michi was saying, fritz is a show where pvd plays the fans request. it is also a show where paul can play whatever he feels like playing. as a pvd fan, i will ALWAYS back paul up...yeah there are other politics behind this and so i've heard from other people , but personally, i haven't experienced it. didn't it accure to any of you the reason why there are soo many pvd threads?? hmmm, think about it for a sec?....maybe coz a huge number of edm listeners like his works and respects him as an artist....while we are on the subject, i just want everyone to read what's writen under my sig...its a quote from paul...

"I make music to bring something specific across. If somebody receives it well and likes it then I am the happiest person in the world and if they dont well then I cant change it anyway. I dont make music for music criticism"... Paul Van Dyk . Hope this will clear some of the excess in people's brain. lol

so plz , quit the whinning, opinions are ok, but when it turns into bashing, it becomes unacceptable..thank you

i hope he steps out of 2002/early 2003 and starts playing some GOOD stuff!!!

Posted by vtec junkie on Jan-15-2004 20:51:

Try late 2001 / early 2002. Me puts PVD in Timeport back to 2004

Posted by trancEyes22 on Jan-15-2004 20:51:

possibly from the early 1900s?

Posted by umes23 on Jan-15-2004 23:17:

bleh. soundgarden playlist means nothing. you can look at all the soundgarden playlists in the last few years and see that these are nothing like a real pvd set. its a random show, in which he plays whatever he wants... but he's pvd, and he does it with caution, not giving away the tracks that he doesnt want to be on computers at home. its just soundgarden, sometimes its good and other times it really doesnt make an impression one way or another.

as for his actual sets, well everyone thought his set was going to be redundant nonsense in new york in november...but it turned out to be hand in hand as the best new york night @ the roxy with last november's gig (yes, in my opinion)... and i'll say he's not likely to disappoint this time in new york...nor in miami for that matter, because miami was truly a wicked, wicked night last year. one of the best after twilo for sure. so stop trying to convince yourself he's gonna suck because of the soundgarden playlist. anyone in miami or new york should give him the chance...because more than likely, he's going to kick your ass hard, in a good way.

Posted by AddictedTo1982 on Jan-16-2004 01:14:

Yeah in New York or Florida but not in D.C.

Posted by umes23 on Jan-16-2004 01:53:

i'll agree. dc should not expect much from pvd. his first glow night seemed to have been much better, though i wasnt there for the second. his set in radiate was okay too. but yeah, its easy to be less than impressed when he's trotting around the country shitting out 2-3 hour sets. you don't get the real taste of pvd from such events most of the time. new york nights are always a safe bet though.... i think he gives it more... whether or not he would like to admit it. it just seems like he puts a LOT more into these sets, and this comes across with his calorie burning throughout the night increasing from 30 calories to maybe 500 in NY when he moves just a little bit more than his head.
