What? I Was in the UK for vacation 3 years ago, do not remember how expensive they have been at that time, but for sure far away from 6.80 euros. What has happend?

Here you pay 3.20 Euros for a package of 20. But the government ist going to raise the taxes again so that they likely will cost up to 5 Euros in the year 2005.

heh, you missed the point. the threadstarter said how much for a pack of malboros, cuz it makes no point if i'd say the price of cigs i smoke and none of americans know. it's the best comparable brand (malb).

i do smoke KENT (2€), barclay (1.7€), Caines (2€), marlboro (1.5€).

$7 here in nyc !

Posted by Thierry on Jan-19-2004 17:16:

$11 Canadian for our shitty smokes... no Marleys, no Camels, no Lucky Strikes... only good thing here is Benson & Hedges. Btw, $11CDN is roughly €6.82 and $8.44US.

Posted by djeternal on Jan-19-2004 17:17:

Well out here in nyc...ur gonna spend an average of $7 per pack.

Posted by DJ-RED on Jan-19-2004 19:37:

Hmm last time I checked the price was:

10 Pack of any brand: 5$
20 Pack of any brand: 10$
25 Pack of any brand: about 12 $

have fun...

Here in Colombia a 20-pack of Kool Ligths (my favorite) costs US 1.0, other brands cost the same or less.

Posted by NinetyNinety on Jan-20-2004 01:57:

Here in Mexico, some regular Marlboros would be about US$ 1.20

i think you can buy carton online for like 20 bucks or you can drive down to mexico and get cartons for 16.

and you think 16 is cheap? hell if cigarettes costed so much in LTU everybody would stop smoking. i pay 12€ MAX for a carton of malb/KENT and that's a big price, cuz if you searched a little, you can find for 10€. [of course, remmember that the price depends on the average pay, which is aprox500€ a month here].
that's sux. after we join European Union this May, they deffinatelly will cost more...
