i read an interview about them, a while back.

outkast are very good artists and creative production geniuses from the past and present .. all their songs are catchy and good .. it catches everyone's attention .. they caught my attention .. they are one of the very few artists where i actually like rap and hip hop .. (i don't know if they're considered rap to me .. ) .
but once again .. production geniuses with their tracks ... pssst... and note the word PRODCUTION ...not taking other's songs, tweeking it, and putting their name on it .. but outkast made their own beat and style ..
aNNOYing as fuck is this song
pure mainstream american barstar SHIT
is there a remix or not?
I have respect for them cuz they're original, in a genre that is notorious for brainless material. I'm not surprised they used to rave cuz it seems like many people who search for originality go to the underground.

Guys, your replies are just as if I went on a hip-hop board and started posting "omg this new scooter track" actually you know what I'm not even going to bother finishing this post.
I don't get you people
why can't you appreciate a good song for what it sounds like, not what genre it is in?
You're so pretencious about trance being "underground".
The fact of the matter is that "trance" is cheese, get over it.

| Yeah its a great tune. Their finest album is ATliens tho. Best hip-hop album ever. |
well, to be fair, Hey Ya is not THAT innovative. Way too remniscent of synthpop for me..
maybe you home boys will like this track?
ghettomusick (benny benassi remix)
It defeinitely is a catchy track... but it started getting on my nerves after being played to death

"hey ya" is a horrible track, its too poppy and ghey and the video is a st. patricks day nightmare. If you like the track then thats fine, thats all that matters, not other peoples opinions. |
i listen to this song every saturday when i go out...
I used to like it before I heard it everyday on the radio about 4 times and then saw it on TV another 4 times.
when i first heard it i thought they were making fun of white people and their rock bands
some european dude requested this at my gig here in taiwan the other nite...i was playing some harder techtrance. i just gave him a funny look.
I'm not a big rap/hip-hop fan but I like Outkast. Their first 2 singles on their new album are damn good, but haven't listened to the rest of it.
I like that remix Elevation did for "Hey Ya"...
