it bothers me if z103.5 plays "trance" cuz like provitex said it cheapens the music when they play some shitty ass gangsta rap or brittney like rite after it...
but im sure as everyone knows here theres 100.7 but they only play the good stuff like super late so i almost never listen to it and then the other nite i was driven at nite and flippin thru the stations where i came across one that was playing some crazy drum n bass....i forget the station number etc... but its good to know that there are still some ppl out there who will play less mainstream stuff ala EDM!

^^^ Yep...no Scumfrog or Armin versions of Iio floating around on gino radio. Thankfully such stations tend to play the boring original or some cheesy euro trash remix of whatever song they "discover". I'm also assuming that the version of ATRC is not Armin's

I have to add... I've heard a few classic Hardcore and Gabber tracks, gino-ized on 103.5. Namely "Don't touch that stereo" - Marshal Masters and "The Beat Can't Change" - Art of Fighters.
The former, the super-awesome Scooter, bastardized. I dunno about the second.
Scooter used to be good back in 97/98, but now they just rip off other artists and claim the songs as their own.

ragging on z103 around here is like flogging a dead horse, =P. as for the complaints that z103 calls tracks "new", it's not fair to rag on them about that either... not everyone is part of a trance (or EDM as everyone calls it these days, =P) community like this, so they don't get to hear about new tracks all the time. we've been hearing about ATRC for over a year now cause we keep up with what all the dj's are playing... as for z103, i doubt they recieved a promo or anything a year ago. in all fairness, z103 is pumping out new shit... i guess it's just weird for us TAs cause we're always getting promos and stuff a year in advance... so it seems old... err... not that we download mp3s or anything...
if you don't like z103, don't listen to it, =P
atleast good music is getting on the radio.
that's how i look at it.

I must add notes to the first thread. Radio is going down. A survey said that the average age of radio listeners was between 30-50 years old! That's why one by one all the "young" radio stations (such as 93.5 or 107.9)are not on the air! Since Z103 is the only one left they have to figure out how to stay on top and that's by playing Trance. Trance music is taking over.........................

sounds to me like many of you aren't too happy hearing ATRC or Nothing But You or even AVB's Yet Another Day...
radio play won't degrade a track. Radio play would actually catch the interest of many many new trancers. More n00bs, more hungry they are, more events that take place!
sure i would feel wierd having z103.5 bring in Gab and Dres at the docks for summer rush 2004 or i dunno... Armin for like euro invasion or something but overall what are the chances to hear your tranceaddict event advertised on the radio?
Lets take hiphop as an example.. we all know how commercial that is. It doesn't mean there aren't any underground hiphop artists: DJs and MCs.... They still exist, underground jams take place and so on and so forth.
Change is good.. finally all that cheese i have to go through when i go shopping wont be there and only the best would be pressed on vinyl IMO.

ok I was at some shit club named 7(fo friends b-day) tonite and Z 103 was live to air and they played
Tiesto - love has come again
then right after they played
Delerium - Truly(signum remix)
fack it was abit strange to here them on Z.103 but I went absolutly insane,people had no idea what those songs were and no one cared but me.
so I dont recommend this club to anyone at all,but fuck hearing those songs made my night.
