i was looking to buy either the alesis monitor one's or the Tannoy Reveals. i was going to get passive ones cus i got an amp, but i didnt no u had to have a special amp as well! no monitors for me 4 a while.

I went to Guitar Center and Sam Ash and I checked out the Alesis M1 MK2 and Event TR8 & SPN8 monitors. I like the Events alot - the SPN8's are the high end product of Event and are really nice. I personally will be getting the TR8XL monitors when I can pool together $550.

Hey Vlad, I heard the Event tr8's and I loved them. But the store didn't have the newer tr8XL with the extra wattage. Do they sound better than the tr8's or is power the only difference?

You don't have to agree with me. I described why I classified them the way I did, and I rely on my ears over innovation awards. My posts said some stuff about my experience being subjective and all, I don't present statistics, I present my personal findings.
